There are also a series of podcast interviews with owner Penny Chenery here: http://www.bloodhorse.com/horse-racing/articles/tag/secretariat-podcasts

The interviews are very "human" and include an admission that he ran in many races for "the money", how she wished her father had been still alive to see their home-bred Triple Crown winner-the first in 25 years since Citation, how the New York crowd booed the city mayor when he tried to cash in on the celebrations and how Penny's only concern halfway through the final leg was that jockey Ron Turcotte might fall off!

Watching and listening I can't help feeling what a missed opportunity, internationally, Frankel was as the romance has largely disappeared from the game. Here's to A Japanese Arc winner on Sunday.
