When looking at Leading Light on the box today as an individual I was struck by what a strong solid commercial type he was.

Obviously tons of speed on the dams side and she would have had a considerable contribution to his physique I would guess.

It will be interesting to see just how good he is and of course right now Coolmore have a queue of Montjeu sire prospects so it would be hard to know which way they will head with their juggling act.

But the fact remains, is a Queen's Vase winner going to be visible on the sire desirability radar?

Right now I'm not necessarily betting against it! Whoops

obviously a lot will depend on what he does from now on PotM. I think any Montjeu with a slither of a prospect will be given a chance. Coolmore could really use a replacement for Montjeu, I get the feeling they are losing ground to Darley who seem to have the best sons of Coolmore's best stallions. They even seem to have provided breeders with a commercial strain of Giants Causeway which Coolmore couldn't. If RVW doesn't make it they will be miles behind finding a son of Galileo as well.
