Sad to hear recently that one of the best former posters on this forum has recently died at a young age,I'm not sure just how old he was but think he was about 50.It seems sad to think that for a person to work for so long in the industry managing some very big studs along the way,his death seems to slipped by almost unnoticed. So for those who didn't know who he was George was the late Ried Coulter.

There was a piece in the EBN about Reid Coulter and I was not on this site when he was posting sadly because I can imagine he had plenty to say. Not a good time to go for sure and it's been a while since he was on our radar so I hope he was surrounded by the support of his people back in his home town.

Sad to hear that.  I joined the forum at the tail end of his time on here and seem to remember him commenting on my first ever thread "who should I send my mare to?"  I got the impression he didn't suffer fools gladly and he would probably consider me a "Rupert Bear" as he would put it. Still, it is down to people like him enducating fools like me that I have learned as much as I have in the 4 years since. RIP GeorgeousgeorgeSad.

Really sorry to read this - knew Reid when he was at Littleton and when he moved to Newmarket, he boarded a mare for me.visiting ICEMAN at Chevely. She had a TRADE FAIR first crop colt foal at foot and somehow it broke a hind leg...Very nice bloke, nothing too much trouble.
