I know that the options for this horse are a little limited to say the least. Fact is though he's a mighty good sire to end up National Hunting. If anyone fancies breeding a good horse or a filly for their stud, it's hard to see where you will find any better value.

I know some on here -and you know who you are Devil - will just say 'not commercial, who gives a sh1t. I can't really argue anything much else really as I say what is the alternative. I do though definitely find myself a little bewildered!

I'm not sure this was a clever move, I can't see NH breeders rushing to him. I think a cut in fee to 3k would have got him a fair number of mares next year. Maybe Shadwell don't do cheapies.

Nearly al of the best horses in training at Newmarket were exported to continue flat racing so the NH boys are going to be buying and developing more horses through the bumper route. This is also encouraged by the increasing win bonus for being a NH bred whatever that means and the exclusion of flat horses from so many novice hurdle races, as well as all bumpers, means that the demand for these types will increase.

Rather Bahri than his son.

At least with Shadwell they seem to care about their ex top racehorses even if the horse does not make top grade as sire. They tend to find good places for them to be. It is nice to see even from someone so rich he puts welfare above short term cash returns. I am sure he could have sold the horse and not have been sure where it would end up.
