3/4 obvious Carnival horses in Fury, Right to Dream, Humidor & Desert Law. I'd say 70-120k, Right to Dream or Fury may make most as they've gone down the ratings a bit and better for the valuable handicaps. Firebeam needs soft so I'd say he's 60-80k. Highland Knight has shown as good as he'll be to me and is very high in ratings so maybe someone fancies hurdling although staying a concern - 90k to JJ Quinn or something. No commission necessary :)

Buying for Carnival yes. Thought Humidor would be a touch less (surprised they haven't withdrawn as they usually do) and Firebeam will be alright on their turf as last year we were out there the ground was genuinely good with all the watering. Thanks for your musings/confirmation.

You might well be right with the Camacho given a 5yo and plenty high enough after being over-faced a bit lately. That said he's guaranteed to get in any sprint out there and that must make him attractive enough.

I of all people should never underestimate the length Stroudy will go to fulfil orders to provide a few more runners in the desert. 280k is surreal (not least cause I reckon he does need soft). Mind you 170k for Maori Dancer is possibly more bizarre. Hope you have deep pockets.
