My contacts tell me that Irish breeders can avail themselves to this fellow for 2013. I'll leave it up to you to decide who he is and where he goes!

Musir, Tazahum or Sharkbite - I'm guessing the latter to Tally Ho.  Interesting

Last two goes then. Master of Design is at possible shuttler (not sure his damsides a plus) or the other shadwell Elzaam (not much race record).  Other than that I'm stumped.

You left it late Yer Ma, but yes, it's Elzaam.

So we now have the winner of a maiden and Listed race heading to stud. What more could we possibly want from a stallion prospect?

I discounted him on lack of record ;(  I suppose he was only just out of frame in Grp1s and was a very decent 2yo but come on, if this was a middle distant horse it'd be hurdling by now.  No wonder our sprint division is so ropey.  Surely not at Derrinstown.

Is it April 1st already!!!?

Fair enough if its a little stud trying to make a first go of it, but if its an established operation they must be tacking the p**s. I dont think the 3 new Australian imports will be quaking in their boots!

Please Johhny where where?

I'll leave it to the stud to reveal his whereabouts, but I will say they're a decent sized operation and not just starting out.

If my memory serves me correctly, he's a very decent looking horse. I remember backing him to win the golden jubilee last year and being particularly frustrated with the typically dismal showing from his pilot of the time. But I won't grumble on too much about that.

Still, I think I would rather side with him than Requinto.

Yes, Gimcrack, memory is required as the horse hasn't been sighted since October'11.

I too had him in the back of my mind for quite some time as he always seemed on the box to be a very good sort and he was pricey as a yearling. However obviously being of right mind it became obvious to me that there was no chance for him and I duly forgot about him. Normally I rue my poor memory - but this time it seems that someone with a longer memory than I will be the one to regret thinking differently.

Incidentally whilst Requinto would have his faults. would you really think Elzaam was a better bet?

A plus, is that Redoutes is proving an excellent sire of sires, with two sons in the top ten on the Australian sires list.

Both these sons had a very good turn of speed, something often missing in many of the Redoutes.

I think it depends a lot on who does stand him. They have to get everything just right in terms of his marketing. I certainly wouldn't be rushing to send a mare to him, but he's always been a horse I've liked.

Re REQUINTO, I suppose it's more the stud and the record of their 'commercial' stallions over recent years that would put me off rather than the horse itself. The list of failures is getting a bit embarrassing...

Different subject entirely but could anyone enlighten me on what is going on next year with CACIQUE?
