The vendor was interviewed on Irish TV and he said he didn't know why he went so cold at the sales as he is a good looking fella. They said they were disappointed with the price at the time, but all is not lost as they've the dam at home again in foal to Oasis Dream and a half sister by Galileo at foot so they are going to make a right few quid.

This was always the plan after his setback and they wouldn't have wanted him ruffling up Camelot. He looks the best stallion prospect seen so far this season and it has been the perfect year so far for Coolmore. This is the best crop of horses they've had in a few years. They'd good colts in 08' and 09' but these guys look just as good and they've got the racerecords now in that they're sweeping the boards in the classics.

The injection of speed using the likes Oasis Dream and Scat Daddy has worked well seemingly. They should train Daddy Long Legs for the Foret.

I could not fault Power. Put him in at 10k and he have a big book. Coventry and Guineas Winner. Job done, I think he can only improve and I would not see him rack up a few victories against even older opposition when Frankel Move up to 10f.

On further thought he has a pretty handy profile aswell. Top of the Ground horse who comes from behind. Change of gear to boot.

Do you really think that he will only be 10k. I think if he hadn't won a group 1 this year he may have been stood for 7/8k but as a classic winner I think it will be closer to 15k. If he was to stand at 10k I think he would indeed get a very full book unless he disappoints in the future.

Could go either way for me - could be a decent miler on the summer ground or could end up pacemaking like RoC by Sept.  If these are the best 3yo milers bar Camelot then they better double or treble the WFA for Frankel.  Nice to see a classic winner for OD though - just as PD ordered the other day.

I am looking for my point of view. I rather price him at 10k and get a massive first book than say 20k. Mind you that will also affect the mares you attract. He is a nice big scopey sort as well. You are prob right that they could go 15k, 20k even or even 25k. I guess it will depend how the season goes from here.

Personally if I owned a few mares and was a commercial breeder I would jump at him at anything under say 17k. I am not sure how Coolmore will market him as he is not a sexy pedigree or he wasn't a big sales purchase.

It be interesting to see how they price him but in these current recession times I price Power around 15k at most and 10k being Generous. Camelot on the otherhand for me would be a multiple of that say 50k

Neill D I would say Bonfire will not win a Group 1 over 10f. Looks a stayer to me

They're wondering will he stay are some, but he has been campaigned like a stayer alright, just wonder would he have finished in front of the likes of Trumpet major in a Guineas
