How wary ought I to be in considering a 3x5 to Storm Bird, also with chesnut being the inevitable result.

Did you ever actually see STORM BIRD ?

I did and he was kept behind solid mesh - he was savage.

I would be very, very careful - had a BLUEBIRD mare here who was herself very placid but all her foals have been loops when put under pressure.

proxgene if you like the mating I wouldn't worry about 3x5. You are not likely to breed the unbeaten Dewhurst Winner who gets his tail cut off over the winter and you probably won't breed a wind challenged horror who fancies putting you on his breakfast menu either. Check out the downsides with your potential pairing and the next generation and select from there.
