Arkle, where are you coming from here? I feel the industry is largely a practical one and so much is best learned from a participatory position. I don't know about formal degree courses and frankly like so many degree courses over here (UK) I am not sure it wouldn't be just another option to keep people in further education who should be starting a more vocational career placement.
What are your objectives? A bit more info might have people coming forward with some good ideas for you. |

Hi Arkle
There is a degree on offer (which I have been on) at Warwickshire College, the course title has changed many times I think it is now Horse Racing Business, Management and Practice. It is run with input from the British Racing School. Here is the link to some info http://www.brs.org.uk/Courses/foundation_degree/ |

Thanks for the replies. I will be getting in touch with Warwickshire College, it seems like a good starting point.

I am a little confused with your reply The Gotchee, as I thought that Arkle had asked the question. Or are you he? Perhaps you logged in to the wrong account.....?!
![]() As far as educational courses go, the Irish National Stud do a good course I hear. |
