After 3 weeks of turf flat racing, some of the sires that don't get many winners on the AW are getting going. Galileo had just GB 2 wins to the end of March but after a double at Newbury, he is now on 4 for April. Motivator and Montjeu also produce very few on the AW but are now getting winners. Cape Cross briefly overtook Kyllachy yesterday but the latter had 2 more game handicap winners in Tariq Too and Free Zone at Thirsk today to get to 25 for the year. Invincible Spirit is also having a very good week and is now on 21 along with Oasis Dream.

hi sage
love using sire info for my bets but just stuff i have pick up over the years. Where do you get your info from and could you recommend any sites etc that are good. would like to check ground, left or right handed or straight, distance etc. I am a member of RP site and Turftrax but neither give me what i want.

Horse Race Base

Every imaginable angle available here and the customer service facility (email) I have found to be first class.

Modest monthly charge.

I record every GB flat winner every day on an excel spreadsheet, with each month totalled separately. I can tell you how many wins any sire has had in any month over the last 10 years, subject to the odd error due to late disqualificatons etc. If there is no clear form info in maidens, I just back the horse by the sire nearest the top of my list. Of course I take other factors into account sometimes such as homebred horses, good mares etc.
