I have just had a look at some of the sires who don't make the top 10 but are well ahead of their total for 2010 already.

Alhaarth
Beat Hollow
Galileo
Haafhd
Kheleyf are all well ahead of their 2010 GB total after 8 months of 2011

The 2 biggest fallers among the younger sires are a bit of a surprise. They are the stars of 2010, Dubawi and Shamardal.

Thanks for that Sageform, I wish my posts were as useful as I find yours.

Dubawi and Shamardal are certainly not giving me the same feel as last season but as I would need to do research to find if this is understandable I am hoping that some of the brains on here have that info filed in their little grey cells already.

Thanks for that. As usual I am just reporting the facts. I have no explanation. Have some of the good Shamardal and Dubawi progeny been sold to race abroad?

Perhaps too many Dubawi and Shamardals are supporting the Icy blue colour that seems to freeze horses in their tracks!

That doesn't seem to affect Street Crys! A quick look at Shamardal stud record on the RP site shows that if you look at his 2011 list, there are a lot rated above 100 but only 2 horses, Below Zero (4 including 2 in Ireland) and Elecra Star (3) have won more than twice this year and many of the highly rated ones have not won yet. Perhaps the better ones are suffering from their success last year. Dubawi has a very similar profile, only Dubawi Gold (3) and Fox Hunt (2 wins in UK and one in France) has more than 2.

Street Cry provides Godolphin with 2 more good 2yo winners this week.

Sage are you sure Pivotal got 25 winners?

Yes thankyou. I have just spent 30 minutes checking from the RP site. 25 wins in UK in August. That includes 3 horses which won twice within the month so 22 individual winners.

Does anyone know how Dubawi has done in the Southern hemisphere and how many seasons he shuttled?

Can't answer your question about Dubawi. Back in GB, Kyllachy produced 2 more yesterday to reach 90 for the year, 9 ahead of Exceed and Excel.
