Whip Rule (IRE) (Whipper - Danemarque (Danehill) ) 9-3 K J Manning ..trained J S Bolger wins in the stewards room from his conqueror Tough As Nails (IRE) (Dark Angel - Soreze (Gallic League)) 9-3 G F Carroll (3) trained Michael Mulvany with Pinkisthecolour (IRE) ( Red Clubs - Delicia (Rainbow Quest)) 8-12 D P McDonogh trained K Prendergast in 3rd.

I thought it a little harsh of the stewards, Tough as Nails lived up his name lead from start to finish and kept battling through the last furlong to hold on. If just a small percentage of Dark Angels runners perform like that, he'll have a good season.
