Can anyone in Ireland give me any information as how would be the best way into the bloodstock/breeding industry in Ireland? i.e courses etc.
I have no experience whatsoever n the industry so any information would be welcomed.
Cheers.

Try the Irish Thoroughbred Breeders Assoc. You will find details of training, education and jobs in the bloodstock industry.

You might want to inquire about the Irish National Stud course.

dermot-d, I am afraid I don't know how easy you will find it to find a position in the Irish bloodstock industry as I'm not over there.

Whatever aspect of the game that floats your boat - if you've decided yet - a good grass roots education in the way of mares - foals - yearlings starts you at the very beginning and will be invaluable.

i am not happy with my Mech Engineering Course so i have done a CAO for Equine business in NUI Maynooth with a view to applying to the Darly flying start afterwards
