Looking for an experienced horse handler to break a nicely bred 3 year old son of Old Vic in the South to South East part of the country.Also,looking for opinions on who currently the best to train bumper horses to win first time out.

Suggest Colin Huggan based near Newmarket (Thetford I think) or Geoff Deacon based in Berkshire. Either would do a very good job.
Trainer wise try Alan Swinbank or Don Cantillon - both do very well with their bumper horses. |

I presume you are in Ireland.....I know it's not the south of the country but give Gordon Elliott a buzz.......he has a seperate breaking and pre training yard.....reasonable rates.

If it is in the UK, I'd definitely recommend Geoff Deacon. He's looked after my horses for a good while now and does a great job. In fact, he's just taken out a training license too. His contact details are in all the usual places.

If you're in Ireland and looking for someone in the South East, I would recommend Pat Cloke on the old Wexford road about 20 miles past Gorey. He broke most of ours. Colm Murphy has a very good lad in his yard who was previously a pre-trainer but has now joined Colm. Broke all his store buys this year. Very good and you don't have to worry about transporting. Colm isn't renowned for his first time bumper winners though. How about Liz Doyle. Knows the time of day. Trained Al Ferof, and had it sold before the race, and that nice horse Cheltenian who was runner up at Punchestown recently.

Heard Conor O'Dwyer's brother has a nice setup. Quite reasonable to I think.
Heard Pat Verling is good as well. |

thanks for all your insights. good to hear murphy mentioned favorably as am impressed by way he goes about things. also, must admit admire liz doyle's results with limit enough resources does impress too.
