The usual suspects have moved into the top 10 this month. Cape Cross and Pivotal had been lagging behind until recently but have both produced a lot of winners recently as has Danehill Dancer. Kyllachy maintains a comfortable lead though.

Exceed and Excel up to 34 now, exceptional for a third season sire and ahead of Oasis Dream at this stage last year. I know there are more races every year but still a very good effort.

Danehill Dancer is back on song after a quiet week. Nouriya, Decorative and Lost In The Moment all won decent races today.

I know there is no obvious logic in it but since Workforce won the Derby, Kings Best has had a winner nearly every day and Crown Choice kept up the record today making 9 in June out of his total of 23 in 2010. Sires definitely produce winners in bunches-is there a genetic reason?

Danehill Dancer became the second sire to get to 40 UK wins after a double at Ascot with Memory and Lily Langtree. What a great sire of fillies he is proving to be.
Kyllachy is very quiet lately but still just leads on 42. Cape Cross 39, Exceed and Excel 38 and Dansili 37 all closing. |

Much closer between the top 10 than in recent years. Kings Best was in the top 10 last year but has started slowly until recent weeks. Now on 26 of which 12 are in June. |

Cape Cross dominated last season but has taken time to gain momentum until recently when he has made relentless progress. He took the lead today when Mahadee and Sparkling Smile both won at Salisbury.

I had missed Atlantic Beach during the footie so Kyllachy also on 43. The cream is rising to the top.

5 more wins for Cape Cross over the weekend moves him up to 50 and a clear lead over the rest. 15 wins since June 11.
