Had to laugh at the interview in the RP in which he took full responsibility and then managed to blame Tregonning in a roundbout sort of way

The fact is, it's his decision which Sheikh Hammy either agrees with or not so it's their own fault

Given the no. of Hamdan horses in training it is ALWAYS the trainer's decision...Gold probably saw the horse only once or twice all year.

Decisions on culling horses are always difficult. This sort of thing has to happen to an operation as big as Hamdans. Ofcourse in this instance, the trainer 'should ' be at the helm and indeed he probably was. However they are overruled on occaision but the only thing we can really pontificate on perhaps, is the frequency of such** ups. Are Shadwells mistakes within acceptable parameters? I think so.
