being a flop as a flat sire,stock tend to want time,dead in the water sales (flat),I guess thats why he's gone jumping.

A ton of winners mind and a Timeform median of 74 for all his runners to 2009. However, definitely perceptions have done for him, which doesn't necessarily run hand in hand with the facts! Good value to breed you a runner, just don't get too excited come sales time!

A lot of his progeny stay well & act well on soft so certainly looks value as a NH sire.

Got a Group 1 winner with one of his first crops too (Ibn Khaldun).

Irrelevant, there are a number of sires who have got dump Group 1 winners in the first couple of crops.

Ibn Kaldoun ran at Meydan this year, didn't do much but nice to see him back, hopefully he'll find a conditions race at Nottingham this year ;)
DD's need to be brought along steadily, if you do that you can get a good horse from him but that means (or meant) he's not remotely commercial.

They definitely do take a little time. Merchant of Dubai is a progressive 5 year old stayer. Ran a cracker in the Vintage Crop on Sunday. One to look out for.

Guess that's OK in the National Hunt game, not sure on stamina overall with him though.
