They had prices up before the lineup was official, it included the BB11 winner, plus many names that never actually entered.

I thought they were supposed to be voiding such non runners? There was a thread on here somewhere that someone said they would void, but I cant find it.

there wasnt any small print, but someone on here said non runners void, so I assumed whoever it was had got email confirmation or something? they only allow me peanuts so I couldnt be bothered waiting.

Just seems a rip off, because as I recall they had lots of very short priced big names who never even took part

Dougs, were P P offering early odds as well?  Maybe there were the firm offering NR NB?

No it was Boyles, from memory the thread starter was Chompy who put his prices up, hope this helps Doug.

I backed Aisleyne with them at (what I thought) was a tasty 33/1. I'm sure they had an "all in, run or not" type comment though. At the prices I was willing to take my chance so have no complaints.

Dougs,
I had a bit of a saga with PP over a similar issue going back to the last CBB.
I put a couple of bob on Boy George prior to the show as he was rumoured to be going in.
He didn't enter and PP had agreed to void the bet (not a lot, €25 iirc). But it was the principle.
Afterwards they weren't agreeing to void it until I showed them a saved transcript of a conversation with one of their online helpdesk, assuring me that they would do so if I backed a "non-runner". PP after the issue tried to say it was similar to an ante post bet, but eventually agreed to void it and refund me.
That was probably something to do with the fact that I threatened to go very public about the matter and how I thought it was disgraceful on their part to offer odds (and multiple specials) on Ronnie O'Sullivan, when he was NEVER going to enter. The UK Masters was on at the same time of CBB. I asked was it the case that any punter who placed a bet on the Rocket lost their stake? And if so, that it was shameful of them to lay such bets, placing him as early market favourite, safe in the knowledge that he would not take part in the event. Thus collecting handy dead money.
I asked them for odds on Red Rum and Shergar for the next National and they got the picture!
After a few emails over and back they refunded my stake...
And a week later, restricted my a/c to €30 max bet. Go figure!
