I was looking at the eviction market
and it dawned on me...this is probably our last ever eviction Cry

All those theories we've spouted over the years [:D]

Be nice to hear your favourite BB memories on here...

For me,the craziest forum night will always be BB6's finale, when Eugene turned down the 50K and DJ told us he was going out clubbing and leaving 10K up on Anthony at 1.5 [:)]

Those were the days Silly

His banter with Ace Rothstein and Da Boss were legendary that series

For me the greatest eviction battle was between Alex and Spencer in BB3. Not only was Big Brother then still a national pastime, but in my view BB3 was the best, most innovative and strongest of any Big Brother and contained the most under rated winner - Kate Lawler - the first female to win, a winner that appealed equally to men and women and someone who got 3.1 million votes out of over 8.5 million votes cast in the final against Jade, Alex and Johnny).
One of the reasons that I believe that the Alex v Spencer eviction battle was so momentous was that Spencer was good looking and popular. When the betting opened Alex was a short price to go. However, the producers realised on about the Tuesday that Alex had more 'legs' than Spencer and in the most under hand and subtle way, they crucified Spencer in the edits (as Alex himself freely admits).
In my view, this was the first time that the edit was used so blatantly (in BB3 the edit was later used even more blatantly to save Jade at the expense of Adele - when shamefully, to my mind at least, the producers played the race card in order to turn voters against Adele).

Big Brother 3 - we'll never see its like again, even if Channel 5 pick up the franchise.

Thanks for the reminder LG.  Probably my favourite year too, and shamefully ignored for the purpose of UBB.

not so much a moment

but i always enjoyed the eviction market on a tuesday afternoon when the market used to be open before the announcement on BBLB

the ingenuity of the dummy runs/red herrings on here trying to spook the market never ceased to amaze [:D]

Spencer going was great yep, I was sad that Alex could only manage 3rd

I think these days, him and Jade would have been 1 - 2, without the casuals piling in so much on the boring ones that actually won

The kebab game with Jade was one of the funniest moments.

PJ was a brilliant foil, setting up the punchline for Jade time after time.

Betting moment

The panic here on finals night of BB8 when all the regulars were reasuring each other that the Twins still had the thing in the bag. They were all the time being drowned out by huge 'Brian, Brian, Brian' chants that would probs have been heard 10 miles from ElsetreeLaugh

On the other hand when Davina read out the Twins name it got the same reaction as the Kara Louise's, Andrew Edmonds and Jennie Corner's off this world. Complete scilence. Shocked

BB moment - during BB1 when we realised it was becoming a pop culture defining show, BB2 - that series in general. In fact on the whole I have enjoyed almost every series, apart from 11 which I didnt see much o.f and BB4 which I hated

Well for me nothing rivalled Science beating Maxwell.

Max's face was beautiful, probably the only time it has ever been described that way.. Happy

As for the girls, I can't and won't split the Church of Ais and Amanda Rose for their wonderful action.

A decidedly mixed bag of a decade (brilliant in the middle, decidedly patchy in the final three years) but one thing is for sure:- I'd have been a lot happier if all those who came second had ended up coming first...

Rachel's win also stands out, as it was the last exciting final and one of the closest ever with 4 HM's finishing very close to each other....and of course the correct winner Love

BB6 was my one of my favourites too aa, also the year I made the decision never to be swayed again by the "logic" of the majority or the Housemate's odds of winning.
Backed Nadia mid 40s near the start and allowed myself to listen to the logic that she had no chance, then turned my book around and had her as a loser. Cry

Can you remember the names I was called when I started a thread about Anthony winning when he was about 16.0 - 18.0 range? Would love to be able to read it and see a lot of the "group think" at that stage of the competition.
The icing on the cake was when Eugene was backed at decent prices and on a few occasions we could just lay either him or Anthony every time one of them went odds on.
I think that by default of the see sawing prices stopping, I actually had Eugene as my biggest green.
I had forgotten just how much I enjoyed that series aa, and I'm now feeling very nostalgic.
Great thread aa

I almost had a breakdown after Nadia won George. I had her for decent money at huge prices and turned it into a loss. Don't know why I let them as I didn't let anybody talk me out of Cameron the previous year.

I'm used to being called names now George, me skin is like teflon.

Happiest moment by a mile ...Bez's win.

That was probably my worst moment!  Fortunately it was in the days when you had to be awful at this not to be all green by the end of the series, so I still won, but Kenzie was a much bigger winner and I had mentally banked my winnings - as had my wife!  I absolutely didn't see that coming, and a big lesson was learnt.

Anyone remember doing text counts back in BB5?  During BBBM and the live feed they used to scroll texts they had received during the show.  Towards the end Nadia was getting more than half of the positive ones and I was heading for my first big win ever.  Happy days.  Happy
