Vintage housemates can only really hope to secure the loyalty votes of the fans of the past and are fighting for the same small pool of votes. Brian wins that imo.

Chantelle has more appeal to the FB/Twitter voters, whilst nikki really does get on casual viewers nerves.
She can do no more to win except up her game, which ultimately means she has to behave more brattish and extremely annoying. Not a vote winner in my eyes.

The Hls are a lot kinder to her this time round, and dowling just seems to be getting a bit stale imo

I liked him the first time and the first week of this UBB, but where being a little camp might have been funny 8 years ago, it just seems a little boring now.

Nikki has definately grown up a lot since her BB and the tantrums are a lot less frequent but still entertaining.

Chantelle seems a nice enough girl, but shallow and pretty pointless really

Looking at the list I can't picture any of the rest(including Chantelle) going head to head with Brian at the death. Vic always had a theoretical support that never properly got put to the test plus he's not getting the edit, Chantelle won really as a cypher on the anti-celeb ticket against some fairly contraversial 'stars', Bateman is probably a bit before the average voter's time etc.

It's interesting some have brought up Ulrika here as she's the only one I'm at all nervous about, precisely because she's a 'black box' housemate - her support is beyond understanding and thus utterly unpredictable (yet has proven capable of fiscal devastation in the past!)

It's definitely Brian's to lose, the only possible danger would be overkill in the edit team's endeavours to make every show revolve around Brian and his opinion. However, that strategy did not stop Chantelle, Brian Belo or Pete from winning.

At least Ulrikakakaka has the underdog tag now, my favourite position for a selection.

Nikki has no chance as she is just plain annoying and picks up very little of the casual vote.

Nadia and makosi were kicked out mainly for picking on Ulrika, you lot may 'not get it' but Ulrika has a fair bit of support from the casual viewer.

But Brian obviously was always the winner once Josie went and would have almost certainly won if she had stayed.  You may all be Brian layers and trying to talk down his chances but quite simply he is the best Big Brother contestant there has been and he will thoroughly deserve his comfortable victory.

Brian features on the edit because he does stuff which is strong enough to make it. There's plenty left on the cutting room floor too.

Victor is a strong housmate but he will never appeal to the wider bb audience in the way that a Brian does. The rest of them are close to hopeless. Granted Chantelle is very sweet but she has the depth of a paddling pool.

The Endemol Propaganda Show - BBLB - has been pushing Nikki to win a lot recently. She has been featured more in the highlights recently even when the only footage they have to show of her is banal. Plus casting Vanessa Feltz is a boost to Nikki as they form a strange type of double act, Feltz complements Nikki in the same way Sam's presence was a boost to Josie.

I'm on Nikki. She's arguably the only one to have positively  changed since the first time round, and she's still funny / annoying / a central character and classic HM.

Top female a stonking bet imo, I reckon Chantelle finishes 4th behind Vic.

deej, exactly my thoughts since Friday. The cheers for Nikki on Friday, the BBLB push. The odd mild tantrum combined with some stupid/sweet/funny comments should see her home for top female.

Think Brian will win but no way should Chantelle be 2nd fav imo

2/1+ for Nikki top female should still be snapped up, especially as shes avoided being up (got a bit luckey as I think she would have gone in a double if it was her plus the 3).

The propaganda is to stop her from being booed on exit, they owe her that, but thats all it is.

She was booed on exit the second time mostly because of the general ill feeling toward the rules being fiddled to put an evicted housemate back in.

Flocc's point about the 48 hour window is key. The production push for Nikki suggests the key edits should at the least be 'not adverse' and the timeframe available will also focus the minds of the voters to sit down and actively decide who deserves it. And whether they actually like her or not, I still think the reliably fair GBP will feel Nikki deserves it.

I also think it's helpful that her rants etc have come across as authentically her. There was an issue after she was put back in in BB7 where she seemed to be playing up to the charicature she'd read about in the press, with disastrous results. This time she's coming across as a slightly matured version of the original (and massively popular) unique quirky character.

Brian is the justified favourite, but I genuinely believe Nikki will end up beating him.

When it comes to actually voting for the ultimateBB winner I reckon people will pick Nikki over the nice enough, but rather dull Chantelle.

Brian for me, cos victor doesnt have a prayer with BB production.  Brian can rely on 10 yrs of not putting a foot wrong, and he has actually attempted to entertain.  Nikki is a marmite character and many hard-core BB fans would prefer anyone else to win.  She doesnt attract the casual voters either imo.

of course it will get matched, only a matter of time before chantelle and nikki flip/flop in the outrights...chantelle's price only went so low on the chance of romance in the house which has not transpired and wont until they leave the house...so once this hits home we'll see a price change as chantelle will not pick up nowhere near as many votes as she did 1st time around.
Nikki on the other hand will pick up some of the valuable 30plus women voters tonite when her sad story is revealed, probably the age bracket where she falls behind to the romantic chantelle mob...she clearly has the teenage vote wrapped up imo. kids just love her mini-tantrums, although were not seeing as many as BB7..i think this actually works in her favour as nikki fans look forward to a tantrum now and she will not be disliked as much for over reacting and playing up coz her whinging and moaning is not as frequent as before.

feltz going in was a total nightmare and put me right off the show completely, non-stop questions from the nosey b!nt and taking over the show but she has given nikki a platform..she may not win but i think she will cruise past chantelle into 2nd spot as the romance storyline has not gone anywhere in over a week thanks to preston as he wont commit to anything on national TV again.

I think all of us think Brian will win. I'd just much prefer Nikki to. He tries so hard, whilst she can make me laugh by just pulling one of her faces. He expects to win it, whereas she'd never see it coming, and he's such a pompous prat as well. But, he's safe. He's funny but uninteresting, Nikki is a real individual with a tragic story. That's why she won't get it. She offends too many.

I always fancied Chantelle to win. Nikki might be amusing to watch for 30 mins a day on the highlights program, but can you imagine sharing a house with her for 2.5 weeks? Voters don't vote for the people who amuse them (e.g. sunshine, nikki, victor, mcririck) they vote for people who get on with people. Also Chantelle won (in a house full of celebs), Nikki muffed both of her chances. 3.5 seems fair enough odds.
