What on earth is happening?
I've been away for the weekend and as far as I can see there was no 'show' thread yesterday, nor this evening.
I am going to be watching +1 at 10pm.
Come on guys - the 'in running' thread is an essential part of what we do. Anybody is welcome to start the 'in running' thread - you don't have to been around since the year dot to get involved.

Let's get a grip.

I think watching that it quickly became obvious why it didn't generate a thread LG Plain

Even the slickman appears to have had his balls removed

they're all too busy gawping at vanessa, they cant type 1 handed
Report laughing gravy September 5, 2010 10:07 PM BST
You both know it is a matter of principle and a (sort of) acknowldgement of the solidarity that comes with watching and betting on thois tosh.

It may be cr ap...but it's our cr ap.

We can do better.

It's no ones duty LG

It's the duty of C4 to provide entertainment you could say, and they are failing miserably

Feltz going in has been the deathknell for me. Thought about starting in-running thread but couldn't muster the energy. UBB has died a death. It needed S&R and many more twists and turns to make it exciting. Abysmal casting and having a celeb journalist essentially take over the house - worse than when that dreadful Carol (Mallone?) went in.

You are right though lg - we must find the inner strength to solder on for next few nights.

I totally agree about Vanessa JR - it's rubbish and it could have been so much better. But there has been half a million pounds traded on the win market, a favourite who is far from home and hosed and who may drift further and finalists who we look as though we can name. In short, there is plenty to play for regardless of whether the series has not lived up to its title.

It's rubbish LG, that's why.

Ch4's BB going out with a whimper.

The shame.

Its not just the forum, liquidity is completely shot too! Seems like we're in a weird BB11 post-script which isn't very ultimate - just odd..
Report bunnyman September 6, 2010 9:10 AM BST
I think the last straw was putting Feltz in when they could have put Pepper in. I'm not even watching the highlights live most nights now as the liquidity is so poor there's nothing you can do to your book even if you felt the need.
Report laughing gravy September 6, 2010 9:31 AM BST
Bunnyman - I absolutely agree about liquidity, but it becomes a self-fulfilling prophecy doesn't it? The less we post and create debate, the less interest, the less liquidity etc.
I wish a better HM than Vanessa had gone in, but I can see why they have put a 'professional' in. I suspect they put her in not to win or even be a competitor (why let her be nominated for eviction if she was a 'real' house mate?) but because she would move the story along by acting as a 'quick and dirty' inquisitor. My view is that Vanessa is there particularly to get more out of Chantelle and to continue in their efforts to let us view Nikki in a more rounded light.
I actually found Saturday's highlights show quite good and quite interesting (admittedly last night's was pants). As a matter of little interest it only confirmed my view that they would like a close run final between Brian v Chantelle v Nikki. As such, I believe that the three of them should be closer in the betting than the current odds.
One final thing, my extended family had stopped watching BB, but they are all really enjoying this event. Perhaps it is not appealing to us gamblers, but it is going down okay in the country.

Personally, I have recently hit the equivalent of the Specials betting 'wall'. 7 weeks of BB took its toll. Need to refresh batteries ahead of SCD. Will be largely opting out of XF this year.

Shame jr. I value your myopic ranting Laugh
Report squares September 6, 2010 10:58 AM BST
yes, I was just about to add I hope you'll be around enough to pop up with the occasional rant.
Report PAKEY September 6, 2010 11:08 AM BST
I've been having a lot of fun recently, so looks like you guys will have to endure even more of my b0ll0x during X Factor.
Report johnnyrant September 6, 2010 11:13 AM BST
I might pop by occasionally purely for your entertainment Grin. Going to miss out this autumn/winter - heading off on travels at end of Oct and not back until Christmas - main destination is Oz for first 2 Ashes tests. Will of course follow markets from afar, but will miss out on those ITT moments when breaking news sends markets into meltdown.

OT, Cher bird coming up on TM now
Report bunnyman September 6, 2010 11:25 AM BST
Hi lg - the problem is that when liquidity is so thin I always seem to be trying to play  catch up with my book.  I'm trying to back a certain HM at the moment and coming on here and expaining why I'm trying to do that isn't going to make that any easier.  If my arguments make any sense it will make it harder because other people will do the same thing. Its a shame because I would like to get more involved and test out my thoughts, but the only time I feel comfortable doing so is when I'm happy with my book which is increasingly rare these days.
Report johnnyrant September 6, 2010 11:26 AM BST
OT – Anyone manage to get any of the 10s Ladbrokes offered Nasty Nick to be 4th evictee this morning? A decent arb.
Report PAKEY September 6, 2010 11:26 AM BST
She's definitely got something about her, talks way above her years.

Managed a small bet on Nick @ 10/1 and Vaneesa Nick @ 4/1 had to do it over the phone as Im not too good this morning when I got myself organised and down to the shop it was 3/1 and 4/5Sad
Report GeorgeBrush September 6, 2010 6:37 PM BST
Surely that could also happen with plenty of liquidity zoom?
Confused
