Over the years we have learned that the women winners of Big Brother have an ingrained honesty, some vulnerabilty and most importantly, they cannot cheese-off other women voters. Four HMs appeal on this basis:
1. Josie - she is still treating this like a kid in a sweet shop and is even improving. Her 'charity/new legs for Steve' interview with Davina will have won her more admirers. Does not appear overawed.
2. Nadia - much less annoying than when she won, Nadia appears far more stable than I thought she would be. She is a big price around 20s.
3. Chantelle - the **** could jump many ways here. Chantelle has lost her 'originality', but the mere fact that she is in the house with her ex who has now shacked up with another women gives her a decent shout.
4. Ulrika - for obvious reasons, I have always had a soft (and a hard) spot for Ulrika. She may be out early, but then again, she may not. One of my life mottos is - the quiet boy ate the whole cake.

Regards to All.

Like you George I have watching the live feed all morning. We'll have to agree to disagree. I think she is coming over very well.

I won't go too red. The awful thing caused by first and largest BB loss, driven entirely by my personal dislike

Another lovely summing up lg, not much that can be argued with there.
Ditto about the hard spot for Ulrika BTW, and I think my small bet for Top female at 21 could turn out to be money well spent.

I hope you will be treating your nearest and dearest very well with your BB winnings.

Best of luck mate

I suspect that is a wise strategy GB although I don't take always my own medicine. I don't bet on HMs that I don't like. As such, I missed the boat on Nadia in BB5, but I like her here. Obviously, the edits will be all, but I think she is a big price. The idea that Nikki is the same price as Nadia is strange. For the life of me I don't know what Nikki is for and what her story is this time round. Obviously if Pete Bennett comes in on Friday she could get a story, but I'm not sure if people believed that 'romance' first time around.

Just think that in this format, the moody mares will have little time to build a following

Nikki did it by being irritatingly funny - that Nikki may have gone
Nadia did it by shouting at a 'bully' and having a journey - that won't happen this time, unless Big Mac takes a fancy
Ulrika?  Did it by being trod upon - I suppose that could happen again, but I'd be amazed

Chantelle and Josie are my female backs

Ulrika seems much happier, more relaxed and at ease with herself than she did in that CBB where she seemed to have a somewhat supercilious air about her, towards her fellow HMs and the show in general.  Maybe now she is more appreciative towards it.

You are right about Nadia's 'journey of acceptance' in BB5. But I think that is my point. I don't believe that an HM can win this by trying to replicate their original appeal. Certainly, they still have to be who they are, but I think they need to have evolved. I'm not sure Dowling has evolved and I'm pretty certain that Nikki hasn't. Nadia may have. I don't know. We'll see.

We can agree on one thing however. Josie is a very worthy favourite.

Josie is so much better away from that Ozpr!ck, like an abused/controlled wife set free.

She is one hell of a confident, self assured, outgoing, happy-in-her-own skin young woman.  All that little old me, fick country bumpkin stuff is looking rather fake. Laugh

"She is one hell of a confident, self assured, outgoing, happy-in-her-own skin young woman."

In fact, far more so than Chantelle who, in spite of everything that she has done, seems incredibly shy and lacking in self confidence.  There is something almost "sad" about her, like she has made so many mistakes and maybe wishes she could go back to who she was before the CBB "journey".

Squares - I think it is a trifle unfair to call Josie fake. In Ivana Trump's words "she is what she is". I never saw her playing the country bumpkin, but I saw in her a young woman from Bristol. I never saw her as an abused/controlled wife, but I did see someone struggling to come to terms with fancying/being fancied by a better looking man.

May I suggest that those punters who took the view that Josie was a fake got their fingers burnt in BB11. I would be honoured to have her as a friend

Squares - I agree about your comment about Chantelle appearing 'sad'. How sad will go down compared to vulnerable, I don't know.

LG - re: "fake", I'm taking the p!ss because Ozpr!ck made such a big deal about it.

I don't really believe in all this "fake" nonsense.  I think people adapt their behaviour to suit the situation they are in and the people they are with.  In some cases, it might be biting your lip and being civil to people rather than kicking off and upsetting everyone.

Preston's previous accent is looking a bit "fake", but I assume he adapted it as per the above.

Sorry Squares.
I didn't realise you were taking the ****.
Sadly, I've never been accused of having a sense of humour.

And did Chantelle just admit she wishes she hadn't had anything done to her boobs?

I agree with Squares analyses. Josie is incredibly natural with these people where anyone else would have been somewhat in awe. All that stuff with John James, I think people forgot how much of a strong character she is.

And Chantelle undoubtably has that vulnerability about her, which seems genuine. Preston did a number on her imo.
