Last year whenever I walked or cycled to a friend's house I passed a parrot in a cage in a garden that used to call me everything under the sun. Quite shocking first time. (The parrot's gone now alas).

I'm aware of the context Selkirk. But it is something that is said, right or wrong, when "trying to be street" amongst friends who would not take offence, not to a total stranger. She's not a complete imbecile.
