Big Brother 3, won by Kate Lawler, thought it'd be the first one, how surprising! Average of 5.8 million per programme.

Lowest is the last one (BB10) at just 2.51 million. This current one could be lower.

1. BB3
2. BB5
3. BB7

BB7 was a big ratings success until Nikki got evicted.

The figures right across the board (with the exception of last year's) are very respectable. Thought there'd be plenty of scope remaining to continue broadcasting it. Really hope it gets revived on another channel.

Another Stat:

Most housemates in a series: 23 (BB8), won by Brian Belo
Least housemates in a series: 11 (BB1 & 2)

Think the housemates in the earlier series' appreciated their opportunity more. No thoughts of walking out.

This one (Sunite Sharma). She set the precedent:

Shocking behaviour, but she's looking very hot. Think this deserves a thread of its own.

Anna thought about walking. It was where her popularity came from at first.

Guess that threads like these will be frequent in the next 24 hours as we all reminisce over this tremendous series. I'll miss it for sure Cry

Lets hope it revives under the wings of Channel 5, though I am pessimistic they won't balls it up.

They cant do much worse than C4 - they have tried to kill the show for the last 2 years.  I would like to see Endemol given a little more creative reign, and less PC bollox

Agreed Leveller, the next recipient of the franchise, whether it be CH5 or whoever, need to stop this bothersome habit of having a representative household of all the weird and wonderful. Let's finally have a house of 'ordinary' folk, they'll likely be more enjoyable to watch.

Nah, let's get back to a total freak show.

Agree Husky, and no evictions for the first 3 weeks, lets see them all settle in, come out of their shells, and drive each other bonkers, without being able to chuck out the outcasts first Happy

Its normal people that are naturally funny imo, not the nutters! Laugh

Problem is, Ch4 have done their best to deliberately kill the show this year and make it unmarketable in the future. The 'ignore the obvious' task being an example - everything 'forbidden' in the early days of BB1 was allowed. There's been so many people from the outside world coming in too. It's like there's nowhere left to go now with the current format.

The only way Ch5 could make it work would be to go totally back to basics like BB1, imo

I agree with TM. A complete freak show, with a couple of nice, normal characters who start at 30/1 please

Being on Desmond's channel a healthy scattering of porn stars will do fine
