I've never liked the guy, but it seems that many more women give his flaws more tolerance than us middle aged male gamblers (and many women can't even see them). I also think tonight's petulance will be ignored (so long as it doesn't happen every night, like Josie's sourness which seems to be permanent).

It seems that JJ1 has gained as much from the whale's loss of support as Corin, although Josie's loss of support seems to be slowing now. And I think that he would probably gain more than Corin from the hard core Josie supporters when Josie goes, although there may not be much time for any support transfer eg if Josie comes 3rd and him 2nd.

I see a good chance of JJ1 in the final 2. I've actually been backing him for a large part of today, pushed his odds down from 8, and he's now a healthy green. I still see Corin winning this though, and there is always the risk of him walking or self-destructing or even a small possibility of eviction.

because hes shown hes insecure and because hes shown a lot of affection to somebody that isn't very attractive it will buy him some leeway with the viewers. Most of the JJ types we've seen on BB have been confident bordering on arrrogance when it came to the opposite sex, because JJ is clearly insecure about these things that lets him get away with more than maybe he should of.

If he can survive to the vote to win stage he has a big chance.

Bad time to back him imo Henry.

Tonights edit and the stories on the homepage show a real sea change in how they're portraying.
I'd expect more to come with mag quotes etc in the last couple of weeks.

Sivvy was loved by many women for the same qualities. His support slumped though in the final weeks and he was lucky to hold off a no-hoper for 2nd spot.

Personally I think he'll still stay this friday, but a selfish, arrogant, hypocritical tosspot can't win BB, however good he looks.

Friday will be the biggest hurdle, and if yesterday's meltdown had happened today he'd no doubt be toast. Still might be, although this is unlikely. With a probable double eviction and "to save" vote to come, he should be ok after this eviction for now. Josie leaving before final night could turn everything upside down of course.
I've been re-appraising JJ1 myself in terms of producer support and the all-stars show, and that's now a major worry after yesterday. PEJ and co. may well decide that a company girl like Corin would be far more useful in terms of cheerleading and telling the viewer how "buzzin'" it is and how much we should be "lovin'" this amazing spectacle than a moody Aussie who might refuse to go back in for another few weeks or at the very least tell them what z-list a-holes they all are.

I'm still on JJ for now however - I knew from the start it would be a hard road to the final, but maybe not quite this hard. Laugh

No, it would be good for him, but is unlikely to happen.

I still see Corin winning but I see JJ1 in the last 2 and at much lower odds than he is now.

JJJ fanatics are first to the polls. Now we should see Corin catch up and maybe overtake, but then later in the week JJ1 will gain again. This late catch up by JJ1 happened this week and was uninterrupted by his bad Thursday HL.

Actually fans and haters alike saw nothing new in JJ1 on Thursday's HLs. He has an argumentative petulant side. The question is how he handles his remaining time in the house?

Josie has reversed an earlier decline but will still be easily beaten by JJ1 as things are going.

An important point was raised by a poster here (I forget who) about the JJJ appreciation thread on DS which, when you total the different parts it has been split to, has had millions* of views. this is vastly more than any former housemate in any former big brother. It is unusual in that it is an appreciation thread of 2 people which makes it different to analyse, or more accurately it is an appreciation thread of a relationship. However it still suggests hidden support for both JJ1 and J individually. Do these thread viewers even bother to vote on the DS polls? It seems not.

* many of these views will be repeat views but it still equates to thousands of fans.

That's tosh henry.

I suspect it equates to under 100 fans. Probably no more than a couple of dozen regulars.

And yes, they vote on all polls. They often post links to them.

Part 12 went from 5/8 to 6/8, ie 2 days and had 469,079 views. If it was just 100 people they would have had to open the thread 4691 times each, ie 2345 times per day.

I don't think anybody's that fanatical.

It's become like a WHATM thread for JJJ fans.
It has a number of posters on it who used to post in those threads.

The last WHATM thread had 70,000 + views in 6 hours

I'd love to know the % of posts on the live thread, out of 3000+, that are vitriolic in their anti-JJ stance. I'm amazed that a group of well repsected specials gamblers can be so blinkered in their view of such an integral character in the show, and possible winner (certainly final 2).

The thread has simply reverted back to type after tonight's result too. It's hard to find a positive word to say about a HM with clearly such a huge fanbase. Instead, there's just more (subjective) character assasination. When did personal opinion take the place of rational, objective gambling know-how?

If the DS thread has become "like a WHATM thread for JJJ fans", the live feed thread is merely a WHATM thread for JJ haters. It's unreal.

Maybe indicative they're concerned by his polling figures - they don't want a total pr*ck winning the last ever BB cos of a bunch of young girls who haven't grown any p*bes yet.

maybe, just maybe, this "bunch of young girls who haven't grown any p*bes yet" are capable of winning JJ the show? Just a thought.

Heading towards more realistic odds now

It's a two horse race, with a substitute runner each in case of falls

Calm down dj.

Do you really expect people in the live feed thread to be going, aww aren't JJJ cute together, when they're cuddling up under a duvet. Which is most of the day.
You can go to the JJJ AT on DS if you want the views of teenage girls and mentally challenged women.
To my knowledge there aren't any of either on here.

As for when he's ranting, which is the rest of the day ;), you do have posters supporting him. GB is a fan of ranting JJ and I suspect Henry will be too now ;), so you do get the opposing view.
But I'm not going to pretend I like them though and will continue to express by strong dislike for both of them. It's not talking up my book.
It's just my honest reaction to this appalling pair.

Not especially a fan of his rants, although he was funny on Thursday.  More his complexity (game playing if you like)

It's really been his reaction to Sam I've liked, he loves him

While I quite like Corin, I can't help still find her dull Plain

But the final needs to be a shoot out between the two, with Sammy pipping the heffalump for a podium spot
By:

Yep, he loves sam more Josie (but that's not hard) and he wishes he had his balls.

Sam really doesn't care (much). JJ says he doesn't care, but clearly cares more than, or as much as anyone else in there.

And yep, JJ is a cracking HM, but that doesn't stop me having a strong dislike for the guy and wanting to punch him repeatedly.

No, i just expect an objective appraisal of JJ as a betting proposition fll. The live feed thread is no better or worse than the DS thread supporting JJJ. They're both as blinkered as each other.

Mario summed up JJ very well when he said there's two sides to him ("John and James"). Yes he can be arrogant, obnoxious and idiotic. However, I have read precious little of JJ's positive attributes that make him a potential winner. Because imo he is one of only a select few left in the house who actually WILL win this thing.

The live feed thread isn't a place for serious debate on the HM's chances.
There are plenty of other threads for that.

As for JJ's positive attributes, I still struggle to see any in the JJ I watch on live feed.

But as a betting propostion and how he's been portrayed on the HL's, he's clearly a runner
Many seem to believe he's a straight talking aussie, who says it as it is and who is willing to show his vulnerability when something upsets him
He's also clearly a very good looking guy.

The HL's JJ is a fantasy, but as many people prefer fantasy to reality, it looks like he's in with a decent shot of winning. Unfortunately.

My opinion of him isn't one-dimensional Selkirk, and yeah, ultimatley I like him despite some obvious character flaws. I like a lot of people with flaws, no-one's perfect Happy

Dave's personally my favourite HM tho, and I never thought I'd say that when he went in.
