If no upsets (and of course there usually are upsets) JJ1 Corin final.

JJ1 polling better, even when subracting Least Fav from Most Fav. However that's not even fair on JJ1 because if both make final week Most Fav is much more important as Least Fav votes will be split between the other 6 finalists.

I still think (and hope) Corin would beat him but far from certain. JJ1 has improved throughout the series more than any other hm in the 10 years. And people like a journey.

In what way has he improved more than any other HM in 10 years of BB

He hasnt made anyone cry for a few weeks but thats hardly a major achievement

Problem for JJ is josie, shes the only original Hm who hasnt faced eviction which makes her an obvious choice for save and replace imo.

JJ would crucify whoever put her up.
Report ahorsewithnoname July 25, 2010 8:28 PM BST
Steve hasn't faced eviction either.

oh yeah,, well spotted Grin

Doubt anybody would put her up, she doesn't annoy anybody.

As TM said, when she goes JJ1 may gain sympathy. He may play that well, he's a good gameplayer. He's also a nutter of course but he seems to have learnt to control that.

Mario would, and i can see him getting plenty of noms this week

Corin.

I remember fearing at this stage last year that the fvcking awful sivvy was heading for victory.
Riding high in the polls. All the loony women on DS loved.
In the end he was absolutely crushed by the nicest person in the house.
Hopefully we'll get the same result this year.
Report Dylan1975 July 25, 2010 8:45 PM BST
Is JJ that bad though fll? In the first few weeks he was, but hes got better the longer hes been in there. Hes a 24 year old male thats lost his father of course hes going to have issues, but hes also shown plenty of positives. I don't think just being nice is enough to win, you have to have more to you, Corin is probably the nicest person in the house but shes also a bit of a non entity in terms of the highlights show. She has no real depth and isn't the most articulate HM which is important when it comes to those confessionals in the diary room. I have her onside cos its a weak field but still see her destined to come 3rd maybe 2nd at a push
Report Henry VIII July 25, 2010 8:52 PM BST
I think that will happen too FLL. But I'm less certain than I was, and to continue probing - at the end people might have got sick of Siv because he continued to refuse to nominate and then came up with all those (too obviously game-playing) schemes to give the money to charity.

JJ1 had his loony toons at the beginning rather than the end.

He's miles worse for me Dylan.

Sivvy was just a mumbling hypocrite who was constantly playing to the gallery.

JJ is also hypocrite who plays to the gallery, but he's also an aggressive bully boy, Incredibly judgemental and a control freak.

He lost his father at 22 btw, His personality was well formed and to blame that for his aggression is total nonsense.

As for Corin. She's had much more coverage on the HL's than Sophie had at this stage.

I agree though Henry. The fact that he's better than he was at the start is a big positive for him and his backers.
Even Lisa last year was quite popular towards the end.

Also to factor in... the footage of JJ is consistently uninteresting and if they keep him at the forefront, chatting to Josie, and chatting to his new b/f JJ2, I can only see that weakening his position. Corin is capable of moments of unintentional comedy and shows a generosity of spirit that JJ simply does not have. Keep her quietly in the background, just dropping in the odd moment of honesty, self-deprecation, humour... as has been the case up to now, and I can only see her persona in the house looking better and better. She is always seeing the best in others, stays positive and doesn't b*tch which is absolutely pivotal as well.

Wether you'd like to admit it or not, they buried Sivy last year, will be the opposite this year. A very worthy winner and will be awesome in allstars (might even win that).

Lol, Siv buried himself last year, how you can think differently is beyond me.
Report Dylan1975 July 25, 2010 9:21 PM BST
i guess you see what you want to see but i think JJ has been a really good friend to several of the HMs espcially those on the outer which is a pretty good trait to have. From what ive seen hes shown great vulnerability as well as more negative traits which he has seemed to control better the longer hes been in there.

Don't know who Sivvy is (wasn't in the country for that series) so i don't know how similar he was to JJ, but i think your kidding yourself if you can't see many positive attributes that JJ has as well as a few negatives (which they all have)

I completly fail to see how 'they' buried him last yr.

Let him get away with 3 weeks of not nominating bus for a start.

*bs

Do you think Lamb and Davina were told by 'them' do dislike Sivy?
Report Angela Rebecchi July 25, 2010 9:33 PM BST
No idea bud. The powers that be didn't want him to win. Can't imagine McCall being savvy enough to get involved with such dynamics, I imagine she's oblivious to most things BB.
Report letsalldance July 25, 2010 9:35 PM BST
JJ will probably win, JJ got bigger fanbase and the more casually voter or voter who's favourite isn't left are more likely to vote for JJ in my opinion.
Report Angela Rebecchi July 25, 2010 9:38 PM BST
His journey montage would make for euphoric viewing. Much more a Mikey vs Rachel final except JJ is handsome and has a host of attributes which the voters will find endearing. Given a fair edit, he'd win, given a biased edit, he'd crush her.
Report seanvice July 25, 2010 9:46 PM BST
Im saying, btw, that JJ wont win. Im well behind on the show this year so am in no position to start saying who I think will win.

Steve (very big), Mario and Andrew (both small) are my only losers, Corin as massive green and everyone else even.
Report seanvice July 25, 2010 9:47 PM BST
ffs, *not saying JJ wont win.

JJ big green, Corin big red for me.

I'm actually getting nervous about the red now, as she's looking likely at this point to be JJ's biggest threat, but I'll probably end up butching it out. I can see Corin's attributes - she's always optimistic, bubbly, pleasant to everyone and wants to win (no walking threat here), but I don't think she's got any other speed. There's no variety, no journey: she went in and she will leave as exactly the same person. I think that's a problem, and unless there's a major unseen swell brewing in the BB house that she can define herself against, I don't think she'll have the puff to get over the line against JJ.
Furthermore, if you were a BB producer would you be happier with JJ or Corin in the Allstars house? Two more weeks of Corin buzzin', or the temptation of Sophie?

They manipulate but not to get a winner as it would compromise (ie make less interesting) so many edits. They want viewers and therefore it's generally in their interest to want who the public wants.

There's still 4 weeks left (more than an entire CBB). JJ has enough time to hang himself.

Even if nothing big happens I think his flaws - arguing, paranoia, frigidity, very negative outlook - will prevent many of his fans (women who wanted him to last for eye candy and soap storyline) from actually thinking he's a worthy winner and crowning him.

Corins about as real as a fake turd in a joke shop...WHY OH WHY are you people wasting your hard earned dollar backing her..
