I was a poor student living in Shelton. I stayed on after uni and saw all the lovely places in S-O-T, including Bentilee, Longton, Burslem and Stoke itself which is pure heaven [smiley:crazy]
Funnily enough I still miss the place and people. It kinda gets to you when you spend 5 years there.
And like you say, there are actually nice areas around there- you just have to go hunting for them...
