Another fine week was enjoyed by the Form Guide at last week's US Masters. Three of our four selections recorded top-10 finishes, and two of them - Phil Mickelson and Peter Hanson - recorded top-five finishes.
Hanson was the biggest success story however. A pre-tournament 280.0 selection, the Swede led after round three and was available to lay at a low of 4.1 on Saturday night.
Although my recommended bets are always in the Winner market, I would always lay such huge-price selections should they reach a single figure price and/or cover them in the Top Five Finish market pre-tournament. In the last three...

To sleep, or not to sleep, that is the question.
Here we go again with two through-the-night events. There's the Australian Open, which kicks off on Wednesday evening at 8.00pm UK time, and the Barclays Singapore Open, which starts some three and a half hours later. I'll start down under.

Last week's three results did little to disprove the theory that this winter close season tends to be the most prosperous time of the year for form students and favourite backers.
[b]Lee Westwood[/b], delivered in style at the Nedbank Challenge while Geoff Ogilvy begun his successful Australian Open bid as second favourite. If only Tiger Woods hadn't, unbelievably, surrendered a four-shot lead in his own tournament, there would doubtless be plenty of big-hitters sitting on a pile of cash right now. The sensible ones will surely have greened up when they had the chance.
