I've downloaded this app several times and keep getting an error message saying "Enable network connection - unable to connect to Betfair please ensure you are connected to WI-Fi or 3G." Wondering if anyone else is having this problem? I have tried to open the app when connected to both wi-fi and 3g, with GPS and network location etc enabled with no success. I've installed the latest version of the app, my handset is a Samsung Galaxy Ace 2 running 2.3.6. Thanks.

Hello,

Thank you for letting us know about this issue.  In order to help us diagnose the problem further, please answer the following additional questions:

1.  Could you describe which method that you're using to download the app?  Are you downloading the app by tapping on the "Download Android App" link on Touch.Betfair.com?  Or, are you attempting to update an existing app on your device by following the dialog prompts after launching the app?

2.  If you have an existing Betfair for Android app on your device, then what is its version number?

3.  When was the last time that you attempted to download the newest version of the app?

4.  What is the Android OS version on your device?  Is it a Custom ROM or the standard ROM from the manufacturer?

5.  What country are you attempting to download from?  Who is your 3G carrier?  And, were you attempting to download from 3G or WiFi?

Thank you!  Your help is greatly appreciated.

Regards,

Betfair Mobile

After further investigation, this issue appears to occur on a select few revisions of Android (2.3.x).  The download fails because the Betfair domain certificate is getting rejected.

If this occurs, please check your device for any OS updates before attempting to download the app again.
