Hello Forum,

You are invited to participate in early preview of our new application for Android devices - ZoomBet Betfair.
You can download it ether via link from http://goo.gl/BohXi or by opening a QR code: http://goo.gl/RlGT4
(You will need at least Android 2.1u1 and 320x480 screen)

This application allows you to:
- Quickly search for an event you are interested in
- View the latest prices without delay
- See your exposure and amount of unmatched bets on the runner
- Place bets and see what-if prediction if your odds are matched
- Cancel or change type of unmatched bets
- View price history graph for matches in running
- Receive "Green Book" suggestions - while viewing a market we will highlight (In green! No less!) the price and stake that is most likely to improve your current position if such a bet is available - ether by ensuring that you profit regardless of the outcome or by reducing your potential loss (please note that this can result in red book - please make sure you double check the what-if figure before accepting the suggested odds/price).
- Note that most features are available only once you have logged in!

Currently we are still finishing the application so any feedback and suggestions are most welcome, as well as highlights of particular features that you feel would be a-must in our application.

Feedback we are most particularly interested is:
- Whether there are areas where user interface is unclear or confusing after you've used the app for couple of minutes?
- Disconnections or moments where application feels unresponsive
- Any crashes or suspicious behaviour

With best regards,
ZoomBet Betfair team

Hi, seems good so far for basics, but there are no goal markets showing on games, i.e. under / over 2.5 etc..

Hi tried it out today ... A couple of things I've noticed.

When i rotate my phone the display remains static.

Also when switching between apps each time i come back to ZoomBet i'm presented with the home page and have to renavigate to my chosen market.

Otherwise very pleased....loving getting the in-running prices updated without delay.

Thanks for your feedback - we've re-enabled the goal markets for football now.

cillablack: We are aware of the issue and hope to fix it within a week or so. Until then, if you have any bets on, you can always view your current bets and jump straight to market from there.

Thanks,
ZoomBet Betfair team

Wow! Amazingly fast and love the constant refreshing. As above rotate and market depth would be good!

Very nice, works great on my HTC Desire HD.

Very good, much faster than my other Android App. Small point though, when navigating through horse racing/todays card/ it doesn't seem to put the time of the race in.

Nice and quick. Is it possible to have an option to show "profit/loss" and "what if" net of commission?

Hello,

biffmeister: Thanks for the feedback - fixed.

Quickbeam - Yes, it's possible, however we are careful that we may not be able to display accurate what if information (due to rounding and different discount rates). We will note this request for future versions.

Thanks,
ZoomBet Betfair team

posted on 'general betting' before seeing this..
The best Android betfair app I have seen to date.
Since treating myself to an HTC Desire HD one disappointing aspect has been lack of a decent app for betfair. The native touch.betfair.com is frustrating to use, I routinely hit the 'register' button rather than the 'login' button for example. It must be a nightmare to use on smaller screen devices.
Betzoom on the other hand first impressions is its great - took a while to figure out how to download, but once I'd googled 'QR code' and realised I had a bar code scanner it was a breeze.
The interface looks very professional, seems to be very stable (only used for a couple of days, but no fails so far). The layout is well designed, very fast and fat-thumb friendly. Navigating to markets is very easy, searching very fast with Event Search. The rapid market refresh is the biggest surprise - was looking how to adjust refresh rates then realised it was refreshing at least a couple of times/sec.

Additional features that I would like to see :

1) + and - fat-thumb friendly boxes for changing input price when placing/modifying bets (betacular app has these as an example) The current method of changing price is ghastly, same as on touch.betfair
2) remember account details option on login
3) Optional display of market depth to 3 (maybe by rotating view to landscape)
4) Ability to display more than 20 current bets
5) Market Favourites
6) Ability to modify refresh rate (to possibly reduce data usage)
