On the iPad you're going to get the very limited iPhone version. But for no other reason that the betfair developers can't be arsed to take the time to make it work.

The main site doesn't work well on the iPad. It's just not designed for this kind of device, there are various layout issues and in fact safari crashed the first time i tried to enter a bet on it.
iBetMate works fine though and an iPad specific version should be along before too long... |

The new Betfair iPhone app works really well on the iPad too, super quick and you don't have to log in to view markets unlike the other iPhone apps.

Can you access the forum from either Ibetmate or Betfair App on the Ipad?

Yup, the Betfair App works on the iPad and even the main site works OK, although there's a few navigation issues on some pages.
I've not had any problems using either, the site is great for a depth of view, getting the nitty gritty on the runners and riders, whereas the app is better for a quick and easy punt I'd say. |

does anybody else know if it works on the other tablets (archos/TOPDIGI/etc)?

if you get the app atomic web browser on the ipad or iphone you can get the full betfair website.
go to the settings in the app and set identify browser as safari desktop or internet explorer and you won't get redirected to the mobile site again. |
