A 10 million dollar
1200 m race in Sydney no internationals except for one Japan horse now trained by Weir only two (2) A grade jockeys in Movie star Williams and K McEvoy , and one pommy jockey Disappointing--very disappointing for 10 million dollar show imo\ |

Without the 10 M price tag to this race it looks just like any other Sydney Saturday 1200 sprint with G1 contenders--my real only interest is to see if SWReign falls victim to the time honoured second up voodoo hoodoo jinx----hope not she looks very exciting-- |

Well - It was a case of - 'What's all the fuss about'?
Sky gone overboard all day about it - and then, when interviewing ALL the BEATEN jockeys afterwards, the interviewers tone of voice dropped as if he was commentating on a Funeral - and all the jockeys answered/sounded as if they had just been give a death sentence. Strewth, boys - lighten up. |

Curiously and not surprising the 2 A grade jocks from Victoria filled the quinella and the visiting international jock completed the trifecta----the Sydney jocks even on their own turf couldn't cut it.
Apart from all the media hype (which they are paid to do) it was imo just an open G1 Saturday and certainly not deserving of a 10 million purse |
