Victorian jockeys

2nd September-Caulfield--the start of a 10 week Spring Carnival--a time for these jocks to shine- Victorian group 1 racing ---this is going to be competitive racing that we have never seen before---

A  time to predict which jockey will fare best at Group 1 level

On 3/2/1 POINTS basis for the forthcoming Group 1's my absolute guess prediction:

1-Williams--will get the majority of better rides

2. Oliver- not likely to get the better rides but will always be there in the mix scoring the lesser points

3. Lane - likely to get the Weir fancies



Any other thoughts ?

hard to say  but last years week at headquarters saw only 5 favs out of 37 races      the jockey challenges is a way to win some bugs bunny     imo its a day by day proposition      Williams is at the top of his powers and will be the most sought after                            oliver as good as he is will struggle   lane is the up and comer     but wier tends to switch his his riders to keep them on their toes

great way to view the spring carnival     the writing is on the wall already                                                                                if you spend that much on a horse you want the best rider generally      getting Williams would mean going thru his management      heard a trainer say one day   we will not be able to get oliver go straight to prebble          that is the only downside with Williams    many trainers do not want to stand in the queue    the ones that do tho are there for a reason

Well For sure Victoria jocks are what they are .
For me they are just delighted to be earning ridiculous money for something that should come second nature if you were brought up with horses.

Yes they odd day you fk up but to be honest they should not .
Its not rocket science and you have all all to know what is likely to happen which does 90% of the time .

So fk that concentrate on the horse.

And if the horse is correct on the day .

I KNOW WHO TO BLAME>

When you are young and in that fitness level its not difficult .

The hard part is getting on the right horses with chances and the agents control that who deal directly with the trainers even though you might work for a big yard often your horse is given to an outside ride because of different reasons .
