Winx beats predominately monkeys while Vo runs the likes of Super Impose and other GREAT racehorses into the ground ----and Winx gets the induction into the Hall of FAME-------WHERE'S THE JUSTICE

Curiously I would luv to hear opinions on this important match race---
VO
He dominated the weight-for-age races at the autumn carnivals of 1988, 1989, and 1990, defeating such outstanding horses as Campaign King and the Cox Plate winners Bonecrusher, Super Impose, Our Poetic Prince, and Better Loosen Up. He was successful from the William Reid Stakes (1,200 metres) to the Australian Cup (2,000 metres), and won various races in between, including the C F Orr Stakes (1,400 metres), the Blamey Stakes (1,600 metres), and the St George Stakes (1,800 metres).
Those were the days imo when talented horses actually had competition and their races weren't cherry picked for them
Winx
after a seven race campaign that included wins in the Cox Plate and Doncaster Handicap. In the 2016/7 season, she successfully defended her 2015 Cox Plate win with a commanding 8 length victory over rival Hartnell. She completed the season with a win in the Queen Elizabeth Stakes
She beat the likes of Kermadec and some internationals on a dodgy M/ Valley track and Happy Clapper
In the George Ryder Stakes at Rosehill on 19 March, she again won at short odds, beating Kermadec by one and a half lengths. On 2 April, the filly started odds-on favourite for the A$3 million Doncaster Mile at Randwick despite carrying top weight in a fifteen-runner field on unsuitably soft ground. She looked unlikely to obtain a clear run in the straight but broke through in the closing stages to win by two lengths from Happy Clapper. Waller commented, "I'll call her a champion while I can speak. I thought she was beaten at the half-mile. She must have an amazing will to win."[20]

Unless ..... "someone" tampers with the track, breaks a water pipe or maybe deliberately drenches the track overnight. This would be the case if the match race was held in melbourne and any of the bigger bookies actually had substantial liabilites on the Rogue. "Rain" affected track...... WINX by 10.

Vo Rogue is my favourite horse of all time but I'd have to say, reluctantly, that Winx is better. Can't remember the last time she even got out of third gear.

That's part of the point---third gear to beat Kermadec and Happy Clapper
No competition by other outstanding horses ---
What gear would Vo have been in to dispense with that type of fluff----Vo would have been 20 / 25 L in front of Happy Clapper and easing down -call it idle --not even a gear---There is no doubt save for Very' very valuable point about a heavy/ wet track-Vo beats Winx by 8 L'S
Where would Winx be in a finish with Super or Better Loosen Up or Campaign King ---certainly not in front

And have all those latte drinking Winx obsessed fans forgotten Sunline's credentials-

Now here is a resume worthy of Hall of Fame ;
Sunline (1995–2009) was a New Zealand bred Thoroughbred racehorse who was the world's highest earning racemare of her time, competing on 48 occasions for 32 wins, 9 seconds and 3 thirds to earn A$11,351,607. She won races in three different countries, Australia, New Zealand and Hong Kong. She won successive W.S. Cox Plates (2,040m), the richest Weight for Age (WFA) race in Australia. She also twice won the toughest mile race in Australia, the Doncaster Handicap, once as a three-year-old and then again as a six-year-old. She was named New Zealand Horse of the Year four times and is also the only horse ever to win the Australian Horse of the Year championship three times. The only horse besides Sunline to win as many major races in both Australia and New Zealand was Gloaming, who raced around 1915.
Its not just the number of wins--that can result from from cherry picked races--its the wins at the elite level and the opposition beaten

.... especially when u consider one or two of those champions that Vo beat would have smelt of garlic ( the stench of garlic at Caulfield some days back in the eighties was more overpowering than lygon street on saturday night)... and yet Vo would have been as clean as my butt ole .... Vic Rail only gave dr.gs to himself, NEVER his horses which were trained as naturally as he could think of. I remember asking him why he was smoking one day at the valley... nver seen him doing it before.... said his doctor told him he could lose weight smoking and he was starting to look like a baby elelphant. nahh.... no suspicion of Vo ever being on anything !!!
