Written was very well weighted in that race taurus, it only had to find form from prev. prep to beat those. Personally, i was shocked at the opening price for the horse, and if it wasn't for the v. astute mounting yard lady (used to work for P. Moody i believe) who reported the trainer walking the track with a concerned look on his face, the price might have even held up. It was no form turn around henry... the horse, at its' best was just simply better than those at the weights.

Should also say that astute form judges will note that particular trainer at being quite good at making sure the price on the day that the horse suddenly finds its' "old" form.... is suitable for punting

Very
the horse, at its' best was just simply better than those at the weights. Perhaps ....but the point being there was no indication on current form or pre-current form that it was anywhere "its best"... So perhaps at its best it was better but form improvement /reversal...that it showed was clearly imo not consistent with current form or gradual form improvement..... It did find form....in a manner described by Tauraus as form improvement worthy of an inquiry (which of course wont happen). makes or made no difference to me but if I had backed the second place getter I would be feeling robbed. |

if you want to win money on the punt you just pick up the form guide, wrap it up into a little ball, ...... and chuck it away. imo. just check the history of jester angel (and thanks for the 25/1 layers
) and you have a concise webster on exactly why. M R, M K, P C, P M etc.etc. all the same. do the weights on written and guess what .... it performed to exactly the same number as it has when at 98.5% fit in the past. a ninth and a few portholes can indicate some sort of different form to a win .... but not necessarily a greatly different weight rating as the win. relativity and all that. |

And yet still a form improvement as pointed out by Taurus |
|
By:
no. an improvement in number related to finishing position (some see that as form).... but not an improvement in performance. weight rating, as i do it, just about the same. slight differences attributable to factors other than weight... like class diff etc. This is why stewards would not have done anything about the appearance of the horses performance.
