TABCORP have a losers only policy when it comes to Fixed Odds.
|
|
By:
On the 17th January 2014, the NSW Racing Minister approved a rule change, that allowed TABCORP to ban anyone they wish from Fixed Odds on horses, trots or greyhounds.
In correspondence with Troy Grant (Racing Minister), I have found him to be pro TABCORP, and anti PUNTER. |

@rseholes even took away my rewards points for fixed odds on racing and sports low c@nts.

most likely they've been getting stitched up on the Fixed Odds for a while as their markets are ridiculously open at certain points (not all thru their betting of course) and they must have no real functional "get-out plan" to offset their liabilities to a satisfactory level
as such anyone winning is likely now to be thought of as a potential bowler for the (original) stitch up teams (no jockeys in there of course ) and as such they have to ban them as they don't know whether they are independent players or notBUT the reason a "money printing machine" ... like a totalisator ... would ever think to risk their capital on such a dangerous arena as "predicting" fixed odds before the event shows the problems besetting the industry from the Corps ... so tote based CEO bonuses & share dividends (to attract more suckers to buy into their newly public listed businesses) has left them with no alternative I guess but to mix it with the big boys its a sickness that has pervaded financial institutions since the 80's ... and shows no signs of abating imo the totes lost clients to the corps fixed odds game I guess and stupidly thought they could woo them back with their own version of fixed odds offerings the Totes would have been better off like Mark R & Tom W etc and just sold their totes to the irish .. and let it all descend into nothingness quicker |

highest turnover scrote in vic. (vegas room at crown) figured out SB's bowlers and sent them packing .... had a v. nice day at caulf. when lankan rupee went down i hear
![]() |
|
By:
nice work if they did VLTULankan moneypit ![]() trouble is .. everyone else backing on the tote the same horse patterns as the stitch up guys are backing will get caught in the same net I imagine ... and a/c closed I still can't understand why on course bookies don't see this opening ... phone bets (of unlimited amounts) by bookies would change the industry again perhaps .. unless the bookies these days DON'T gamble any more ... on course money used to be ... EXTREME |

here's a question
totes pay a certain amount back to the racing industry from their pari-mutuel holdings do they have to (or do they out of goodness) pay the same divvies to the racing industry from the fixed odds portion of their holdings ? |
|
By:
no
|
|
By:
diff percentage ......
|
|
By:
cheers OzR
to their advantage I guess |
|
By:
definitely....
and barring accounts is silly as at least if they bet you something they can work you out....whereas if open a new account *cough* in a new name they got no idea....backward thinking Mark Read had best idea...logged all activity as these clowns do BUT then use that info to advantage |
|
By:
It is false economy for bookmakers to ban punters, the punter just gets a new account, collects the deposit bonuses, takes advantage of all the Promotions, carries on as usual.
|

By:
So how can they force corps. to bet fixed on nsw racing .
|
|
By:
Hamish RNSW won a court case that went all the way to the High Court
they established that they "OWN" the publication of the Race Fields .. which they charge out a fee for corps, Bf & others based on identified turnover (which cruelled BF whose legal eagles were unable to establish to the sitting judges agreement that it was unfair to BF who are not a turnover based operation like the Corps but a winning commission based operation .. the legal eagles case when read was so poor I believe they did an injustice to the BF case but hey I am not legally trained so what do I know) the new legislation from RNSW now has corps betting to faxed minimum limit as well which was probably a brilliant intervention by the PVL crew however the PVL crew failed to halt the continual banning of anyone who might win a series of bets at the dollar limits imposed) Australian horse punting is in a mess from those running the races and those trying to get a serious bet set if they legalised the SP again ... then a whole new world of pain would befall the Corps and if on course bookies could run a web based operation similar to the corps .. then again the corps would be in a whole new world of pain so who really runs what a punter can do anymore .. I have no clear idea .. its a shambles imo |

thanks thebas .I contacted racing nsw about this seven weeks ago and stated would get back to me shortly.still waiting. When I spoke to TABCORP they accused me of using a bot untrue. .All my bets are placed through dynamic odds and they must know this .why wouldn't they just tell me what you stated ?

When I spoke to TABCORP they accused me of using a bot untrue
... well that's a bizarre they gave you Hamish for sure ... and is there anything in their P&C that states a customer cannot use a bot or automated product to facilitate the placing of a bet anyway regardless of your own situation ? |

Can't be, because Dynamic Odds can't offer a betting facility without the willing participation from Tabcorp in the first place.
Dynamic Odds, which in its most basic form, is simply an odds comparison tool with the facility to bet to your account without the need to login to their website. At its most extreme, it can be a highly sophisticated automated bet program. The mere fact that it has Excel functionality enables this, and the fact that Tabcorp approves of this program, would override any terms and conditions, which I don't believe exist. The most basic line in any bookmakers terms and conditions, or at least one of them, is "As a customer you take responsibility for any bet placed in your account, and any such bet shall be deemed to have been made by you" or words to that effect. Reality is, Tabs have little batch programs to help people automate putting their bets on to increase the volumes of their turnover. So "using a bot" is really a crock of ****. IMO |

I contacted racing nsw 8 weeks ago no reply but emailed this morning and betting supervisor states meeting legal counsel about my case this afternoon see what happens???

9. If Tabcorp has formed the reasonable belief that a transaction (including an electronic transaction) on your TAB account has occurred by way of an automated, and/or computerised, system (except for an approved automated, and/or computerised, system), Tabcorp may, at its sole discretion do any or all of the following:
a. restrict the operation of your TAB account, including restrictions on your ability to use one or more specific Channels or your access to certain products; b. suspend or close your TAB account; c. decide to cancel any such bet and refund the bet to your TAB account; and/or d. if appropriate, disclose details of the transaction, the TAB account and the TAB account holder to regulators or government agencies, including law enforcement agencies. |

Dont think you can automate on dynamic odds , I wouldn't know how to do it anyway . Surely dynamic odds would know if I had. I will ask Karl at dynamic odds

TABCORP have been using this REASONABLE BELIEF rule for a long time now, to drive the faster and smarter punter off the internet.
If other words, TABCORP can do whatever they like without any proof. In my opinion, Troy Grant (NSW Racing Minister) and Martin Pakula (VIC Racing Minister) are just pawns of TABCORP, because they approve of TABCORP "losers only policy". |

.. even more bizarre cheers brickie it has to fall under the money laundering furphy I guess ... but is a fascinating addition to the terms and conditions however I would have assumed the money laundering aspect would be where the funds originated from theat ended up in your account .. not what you did with those funds once they were in there (ie gambling on a gambling website) |
|
By:
to drive the faster and smarter punter off the internet.
.. that seems more likely screening winners yes but cant happen on the pari-mutuel side just the fixed odds side .. because their market odds are not pure (well not as pure as the smarties) now the totes wouldn't be self funnelling any of their fixed odds holdings back into the pari-mutuel side to take advantage would they ? (many times I see the tote price fluctuate wildly about 100 metres AFTER the start of the race .. where they explain it away by saying just a final database update lol) |

You can automate DynamicOdds by using a Visual Basic Bot to simulate the Mouse and Keyboard. Private Declare Sub mouse_event Lib "user32" (ByVal dwFlags As Long, ByVal dx As Long, ByVal dy As Long, ByVal cButtons As Long, ByVal dwExtraInfo As Long) Private Declare Sub keybd_event Lib "user32" (ByVal bVk As Byte, ByVal bScan As Byte, ByVal dwFlags As Long, ByVal dwExtraInfo As Long) Private Const MOUSEEVENTF_MOVE = &H1 Private Const MOUSEEVENTF_LEFTDOWN = &H2 Private Const MOUSEEVENTF_LEFTUP = &H4 Private Const MOUSEEVENTF_RIGHTDOWN = &H8 Private Const MOUSEEVENTF_RIGHTUP = &H10 Private Const MOUSEEVENTF_MIDDLEDOWN = &H20 Private Const MOUSEEVENTF_MIDDLEUP = &H40 Private Const MOUSEEVENTF_WHEEL = &H800 Private Const MOUSEEVENTF_ABSOLUTE = &H8000 Private Const KEYEVENTF_KEYUP = &H2 Private Const VK_DELETE = &H2E Private Const VK_CONTROL = &H11 Private Const VK_SHIFT = &H10 Private Const VK_INSERT = &H2D |

6. Where Tabcorp reasonably considers that either you or your TAB account transaction history may represent a significant risk to Tabcorp's wagering business, constitute a breach of the applicable betting rules, give rise to an integrity concern and/or expose it to a breach of the AML Act, Tabcorp may:
a. request further information from you; b. suspend your TAB account at any time and without prior notice to you; and/or c. close your TAB account(s) permanently and without prior notice to you. |
|
By:
Simply having an online account means you have placed the bet by way of a computerised system..
|
|
By:
In other words, TABCORP may close you account, if they have formed the reasonable belief that you may win money off them on Fixed Odds
|
|
By:
yes banned for arbing, can only get on by calling, closed out of all online activity including access to SKY racing
all rewards points and gold status lost, no right of reply |
|
By:
funny thing was I was banned a few days after a big collect on a surfing multi which I couldn't possibly have arbed on
did this flag my account, not sure I'd also backed something that they made a mistake on when they put up 30.0 instead of 3.0 it didn't even place but did this also draw attention???? I'd had a winning account with them for at least three years so why now??? too many questions with no answers so I will never know |
|
By:
When I made a complaint to RacingNSW against TABCORP about the Minimum Bet Rule, TABCORP immediately took away internet access to my account out of pure spite.
The same thing happened to many of my punting buddies. Spiteful bastards. |
