Oddly enough i wasn't aware of these 'rumors' before this story was published.

He owned 2 video stores, part of the same group that I owned 1 (only 30 stores in the group so we all knew each other).....Was a banker of the highest order

Maybe the media should look into some of his dealings and that of his cohorts when he was at the trots. Talk about an egomaniac.

It is a little unfair that some punters might actually want to make a profit.  They should cease such views immediately and assume their rightful place in the world as losers who can fund all sorts of more important people.

Given it's now less certain how long V'landys will have to keep kicking us around, perhaps it's apt to update you on the progress of his defamation action against me.

When I got the 1st letter from his lawyers, I declined to reveal that I'd opened it inadvertently without my glasses, and only much later realised that it wasn't actually addressed to me.

So after I got the 2nd one, I never opened it. Instead paid a lawyer to verify that the course of action was to have it stamped "not at this address" and send it back.

Well over a year ago, and I've heard nothing since then.

However I'm aware of the circumstances of the bogus name, and am confident that there were breaches of the Privacy Act.

Beats me why V'landys was apparently unconcerned about legalities and ethics, and didn't take the simple steps to properly make my pockets shallower.
