Will be interesting to see how Matt Giteau goes at 12 after returning from France where he's been the last 3 or 4 years. He's a good player but test match rugby is light years above European club rugby in standard. He's also not very big. Most teams these days have a very large unit at inside centre. Anyway we'll see how he goes. SA teams not too impressive in Super 15 and their captain Victor Matfield, how he's still playing international rugby is beyond me. He was old years ago. And if Ruan Pienaar is the best halfback in SA then they've got real problems.

Saw Matt Giteau on Rugby HQ the other day and he said the thing he has missed most about Australia was having a beer and a punt with his Dad on a Saturday arvo!!

i'm still seething about there being more reds in the run on side than brumbies - ffs

The Super Rugby Final put to rest any doubt that rugby played well is by far the greatest sport on the planet. Tonight though it's a test match so I'm not expecting too much razzle dazzle.
That's an interesting point Max but who would you like to see changed? I think Cheks is giving some blokes a chance here. I think he's saying to Genia and Cooper and Giteau 'here's your chance. It's up to you. If you don't take it I've got other options.' |

I reckon it's about time Campese stood up

I was having a beer one time with Campo and he told me about the time he was at school with you and he pulled your tie so hard the knot was reduced to the size of a malnourished pea and you started blubbering and had to be taken to the sick bay to be sedated.
|
|
By:
That's funny because I would never attend a school that requires you to wear a tie.
|

Long socks , shorts , a dodgy cap ..... that tie is pivotal ![]() |

its no world cup game or bledslowe but surley matt or Christian deserve to start before Gitss or Cooper, the only thing i can think is that in camp it was obvious that cooper and gits were the 1st choice anyways we are about to find out
|

By:
Oh yeah? So who do I believe? World famous Rugby hero or delusional Forum Fantasist with sick Mongolia obsession??
|
|
By:
I don't believe the delusional World famous Rugby Forum Fantasist

Max I don't rate Christian. Having said that I just think these guys are being given a chance. I've seen it so many times in rugby. The coach gives the hopefuls first shot and if they don't cut it he goes back to the incumbents. Having said that the Brumbies backs weren't exactly impressive this year. I think Quade with a competitive pack in front of him can do a good job.

I'm from Victoria. I doubt if Too Easy has ever been there. We don't care much for Rugby players in that part of the world.
I'm going to the Boozatorium. |

are you taking your pet giant rat for a walk with you?

Victorians = Leftie Jerk Offs

cooper and gits = leftie jerkoffs

Great win at the end - stole it off em. ii we start with the same team the blacks will eat us alive
|
|
By:
We bombed two certain tries and missed a couple of goals. Genia and Cooper were given their chance and blew it imo. Giteau I think went well. Goal kicking is a real concern in Aus rugby. I haven't had a shot in 20 years but I know for sure I could nail some of those missed ones.

sounded pretty exciting from what I read on here
mainly the bits about the rats & ties ![]() |

How bad was Quade Cooper? Think he should honour his deal with Toulon. Cheika has given him a go and he has blown it.
Good and bad in Mendoza but you can't complain about 34-9. Flattered us. Sets it up for an interesting Bledisloe in Sydney in a fortnight. All Blacks got the chocolates against SA but they weren't very impressive. Maybe we're a chance? |

Maybe, word on the street is Lomu is playing
|
|
By:
*isn't playing

I'm not totally happy with the team running out tonight but 3.50 is a nice price. It's worth a nibble. Surely Australia has to win a sporting contest somewhere in the world soon.

What a game - seriously tho how can we not start white and matty at 9 and 10 next week after that performance
|
|
By:
Anyone else take some of that delicious $3.50?
Agree Max. Phipps had just about the worst game ever. |
|
By:
Wallabies pretty big odds again today. Kick off 5.30pm. NZ not too impressive so far this year. If this game was in oz Wallabies would be favs. 11.5 start looks pretty good.

Quade Cooper ...so often a big liability.....(perhaps coincidence just when I watch Union games...) but from my observations ...Way past his used by date........

Embarrassing...again.
