I remember he had that band with his brother Shane and Richard Chee Quee.
They had a real good sound from memory. |

Yes the ball he bowled at that Journo was way out of line. imo It really called for a half pace delivery at
the most in line with the light hearted stunt the whole thing was. So he bangs one in at full tilt and injures the guy and was lucky he didn't put him in hospital. A very dangerous uncalled for act. |

Jogged the memory and googled it. It was a full over during a tea break and he left
him with Cracked wrist, bruised rib and massive egg on back of head. He probably got caught up in the moment but in light of the Phil Hughes that since happened it illustrates how dangerous a stunt like that is with an inexperienced batter in particular. |

Can Teddy don't be that guy
![]() Must say I enjoyed watching him in his prime when he got up around 150km/h that is quick |

im old enough to remember sitting in bay 13 watching lillee and thommo..... they were quick. Lillee was described as a once in a generation quick, and then like 5 minutes later along comes Thomson
![]() ... they both made Lee look like a parking ticket, Lees last over was the first time i've seen him actually bowl at the stumps ![]() ![]() .... the quality of australian cricketers has not improved since 40 years ago.... Ian Chappells side would destroy the current line up imo. |

you're old Very, very old
![]() ![]() ![]() i never saw them live but watched on tv quite a bit as a kid - amazing bowlers |

i'll say, the boys and i were usually muted by mid day ... but while the eyesight was still good you could see Marsh half way back to the boundary collecting balls that were just about invisible until you could pick them up flying over the batsmans head and smacking into the gloves an instant later. All the batsman had to do to score was make some sort of contact with the ball and it would go flying to the boundary for a four or, with a bit of luck, a fieldsman would be able to stop it. I reckon half of Lillee's average would have been from balls that the batsman couldn't see but somehow snicked through the field for four..... and Thomson.. ffs you couldn't pay me enough to stand in front of him. Not even with an inflated rubber suit and a crash helmet and goggles i wouldn't !!!
