In the Guineas a rising star in Disposition just wins, the only possible danger is Outlaw Pete the rest are well and truly outclassed.

I was more interested in the Ballarat Cup rather than the rubbish that is served out West.

For mine The Cleaner can't possibly win, it doesn't quicken and he has zero excuses as virtually all of the main chances have drawn poorly but he's not up to winning a Group One against quality horses.
The only way he can possibly win in my opinion is if all the chances have bad luck in transit i.e. hard runs etc and if he gets a massively bias track, failing that he's impossible. The race is an afterthought and comes at the end of a long arduous spring campaign and a really hard run on a very firm Flemington at his last start when despite being favoured by an on pace bias, he still couldn't win. Not to mention the fact that he's giving some serious up and coming progressive horses 4 and 5kgs, that all adds up to him being the falsest of false favourites. So if he wins he will have well and truly earned that victory, but for mine there are so many factors against him the fact that he is favourite on sentiment alone is laughable, this is not the ridiculous social media fantasy world it is the stark reality of racing. |

Certainly is a hard task for it...but what does it say about W.A. racing that a national embarrassment is the fav. for your biggest race of the year

I may partake in some of that, thanks for that mate but then again they may not let me after the touch up they copped during the Cup carnival as was promptly banned from the best tote plus offer on Derby Day after the first couple of races.

First starters are just another variable,like slow starts,useless jockeys,track bias,horses not trying,etc.There are at least 387 ways to lose a race.If I was too worry about them all I would never have a bet
