There- denotes a place e.g. There's a pig fcker over there
They're - short for they are e.g. When asked about the Betfair forumites Whoopi replied  "they're a bunch of pig fckers".
Their - denotes ownership e.g.- The forumites had to admit that all their fellow forumites were pig fckers.

Couldn't agree more with you Whoopi and also their atrocious spelling, for instance among many other examples if I see loser spelt one more time as looser I'll scream, ignorant as pig farkers is just about an apt description.

Yeah, overuse of commas could probably go on the list.  Can't be too hard for people to differentiate between a comma and a full stop?  Loosers, IMO.

There's a difference between typo's and ignorant or lazy spelling but each to their own.
I personally find it very difficult with the relatively small viewing box used when adding to posts to not make typo's which I absolutely hate making. As you are no doubt well aware I invariably correct typo's if I notice them.

I don't believe there should be an apostrophe in 'typos'.

That's a tired post Joel and your right typos is the correct use of the plural.
My spelling is exemplary mate I just make a fair few typos on here and when using or creating word docs but you can correct them easily as in word you just make the changes and re save the doc. You can't do that with forum posts however and there really should be an edit function that's allows you to correct spelling or punctuation typos

You could also argue however that with typo's being short for typographical errors that the use of the apostrophe is correct and that it is in fact possessive, so in certain instances perhaps typo's and typos are both correct. It poses a somewhat interesting dilemma.

Spelling mistakes are just typos!

I wish I had thought of that back in school. Education was a bit different back then. I doubt my Grammar Master would have been sympathetic to typos. In fact I'm fairly sure typos would've enraged him. Filled him with the same kind of Loathing that he had for poor punctuation and mangled sentence structure and Spelling Mistakes!!!

typo's or typos (for joels benefit) annoy the craap out of me, why do you think I immediately correct them on many occasions???

it's typos

you can't take the mistake into your physical possession, but you could make a few of them.
