Humble punter is unchanged..endless cash cow fed on stale cr@p.
As for ASX market has said that's fine.

I see A.Demented Demetriou has been appointed to board of directors (Crown Resorts) could it be ?

Laugh... i hope he's learned not to give up his own organisation to the govt. !! His new boss wont like that too much. Dear Andrew, when the gov.t wants to investigate the double zero or the cheap mortgages and invites from the mahogany room to banned gamblers .... you tell them to F>>K OFF, don't invite them straight into your office to check the paperwork.
Report Lets Elope August 13, 2014 5:50 AM BST
Very good news as there's a big chance the stupid in play betting laws here will be changed eventually now due to Packers influence and deep pockets.
Report earlycrow August 13, 2014 6:36 AM BST
He'll need deep pockets if he's going to take me on

Laugh
Report wombleoz August 13, 2014 11:20 AM BST
hopefully it means growth in liquidity and in-play is closer - wait and see i guess
Report Monday mike August 13, 2014 1:53 PM BST
His only on $100k. he wouldn't have much input for crown on that money compared to 3.8million at AFL.  His better of going back to the fish 'n chip shop in north coburg I reckon.
Report therhino August 13, 2014 2:24 PM BST
Just imagine AFL in-play Excited
Report Craig The Speculator August 13, 2014 2:33 PM BST
$10 million seems cheap for 50%

maybe a few on here could have chucked in and bought it themselves
Report Craig The Speculator August 13, 2014 2:34 PM BST
surely it's time the ridiculous in-play ban is lifted

serves no purpose at all - the universe has spoken, it's time
Report logroller August 14, 2014 4:16 AM BST
$10m for 50% of a company that has lost 47m over its 7 years of operation, looks very expensive to me.
but then again this is not about the exchange operation is it.
Report PittsburghPhil August 14, 2014 4:34 AM BST
He's better of going back to the fish 'n chip shop in north coburg I reckon.

With an SP bookie business on the side, of course.
Report VeryLTU August 14, 2014 7:32 AM BST
perhaps crown is going back to the snack bar idea and want expertise in preparation of fish and chips.
Report Lets Elope August 14, 2014 10:05 AM BST
extremely cheap to pick up the rest of betfair australia for a relative song, once the in play restrictions lifted sports betting holds on here will explode
Report mikenz August 14, 2014 11:16 AM BST
i notice on betfair.com.au they appear to have live corner betting on english premiership matches , but it appears its not a goer on the exchange on the main site[uk]is this correct............what are the rules regarding live betting in australia, im in new zealand, we have no such restrictions but i cant bet live on betfair sportsbook because i am locked in with aussie geographically, gee its messy this place at times, hopefully someone will tidy it up.
Report mikenz August 14, 2014 11:20 AM BST
not having cashout option on head to head on nrl , rugby , and a league is also a pain.
Report mikenz August 14, 2014 11:23 AM BST
And also no betting at all on aussie and nz domestic soccer is another letdown on here, surely first grade state league matches would have enough interest.
Report mikenz August 14, 2014 11:54 AM BST
PS...Ive just noticed that on betfair.com.au, cashout on nrl and itm cup , all blacks matches etc is now available but not on main site, if this is available then things are on the improve, as i said earlier i can bet on sportsbook prematch ,and still have the cashout option, seems things could be moving forward.
Report henryluca August 17, 2014 3:00 AM BST
Cash out option is only available before the start of an event ...not during play....

Sad
Report mikenz August 17, 2014 9:09 AM BST
i think you will find that cashout operates in play, the aussie section is a improvement but i dont know if its my puter or not but it is very slow, but it probably will be improved over time
Report doubleagent August 17, 2014 1:25 PM BST
Crow - now that you own Betfair is there any chance of dropping my %

ld have to say that the aussie site is a improvement ,much better for nz and aussie, it was a bit of a shambles before.
