given them 2-3 years and you will never ever have this problem australia wide ever again.
the buttercup result in nsw wipes him out for good and will stop a lot of trainers cold pushing the boundaries.

Here is a question for Vic form students. Did you notice any drop off in form of the Douglas team after the incident ?
A leading trainer here in SA, had one die a year or so ago and he went from having one of the best strike rates in the state, to hardly training a winner these days.

Yes, Castiron, stable form definitely went downhill across the board. Of course there were potentially other contributing factors also such as Darryl's exit as stable driver

theres an unscrupulous story about anderson/douglas from a few years ago that i had a hard time believing but now after this not so much - cant possibly post it as the original story already contains enough threats from lawyers and defamation proceedings

I was reading about this in today's paper and I just can't get my head around it. His horse died so he buried it on the side of the road and then didn't tell anyone about it. Why? was he worried there would be an autopsy? Was he worried about what an autopsy might discover? Who owned the horse? What do they think about what happened? Why has the vet acted shifty in all this?

I'll tell you what though. If he ever gets disqualified as a horse trainer he's got a big future as a landscape gardener. Any cnnt that can dig a hole big enough to put a dead horse in must be some kind of labouring machine!!

A HARNESS racing owner and a trainer, both among Australia’s most prolofic, have been banned from the sport for six months following an investigation into the sudden death of horse Talk To The Hand.
Former trucking magnate Eric Anderson and leading trainer Glenn Douglas pleaded guilty to six and 10 charges respectively, admitting they had lied about euthanising the horse minutes before a race.
In a bizarre twist, it has been revealed the fan favourite horse was buried in secret with asbestos piping, “actions which inhibited the extent of the post-mortem autopsy conducted upon the horse,” a Harness Racing Victoria (HRV) board hearing found.
The 11-time winner was due to compete in the 2150 metre race two at Bendigo on August 21 last year at 7pm, but was scratched at 6.34pm after arriving at the track and becoming unwell.
Talk To The Hand was put down at the track by vet Dr Sarah Jalim, who has been banned from providing vet services at harness courses for the next year.
“Its health quickly deteriorated... before the horse was euthanised,” the hearing stated.
“The fact that the horse was euthanised was not brought to the attention of the attending HRV Stewards on the night by Mr Douglas, Mr Anderson or Dr Jalim.”
The Herald Sun understands Dr Jalim came forward the next day to tell stewards Talk To The Hands had been put down on a float at the track.
Anderson and Douglas both admitted telling lies about the horse leaving the Bendigo track alive and being found dead the next morning.
The Herald-Sun has the 'News' a week after the event.http://www.heraldsun.com.au/sport/superracing/harness-racing-owner-and-trainer-banned-from-sport-for-six-months-after-investigation-into-sudden-death-of-horse-talk-to-the-hand/story-fnibcaa0-122685
Nobody asked why they did all this?????????????????????
There must be a very limited number of possibilities. If you refuse to answer stewards questions surely you should get life. None of this 6 months ^@.

The Victorian Civil and Administrative Tribunal (VCAT) today heard the stay applications of trainer/driver Mr Glenn Douglas and licensed stablehand/registered owner Mr Eric Anderson with regard to the 6 month disqualifications imposed upon them by the Harness Racing Victoria (HRV) Racing Appeals and Disciplinary (RAD) Board on 5 March 2014 concerning various charges issued against them under the Australian Rules of Harness Racing (ARHR).
Senior Member R. Davis of the VCAT heard submissions from the legal representative of Mr Douglas and Mr Anderson and submissions from the legal representative of the HRV Stewards who opposed the granting of a stay to either Mr Douglas or Mr Anderson.
Senior Member R. Davis, in deciding to grant a stay to both Mr Douglas and Mr Anderson, announced that he did not consider the community interest would be disadvantaged if a stay is granted.
The penalties imposed by the HRV RAD Board are therefore stayed until such time as the review applications are heard and determined by the VCAT. The hearing of these reviews has been scheduled for hearing over 3 days commencing 9 April 2014. The applications of the HRV Stewards, who have also lodged an application for review of the penalties imposed, on the grounds the penalties imposed by the HRV Rad Board were inadequate, will also be heard on 9 April 2014.

6 months is an absolute joke. And now a stay of proceedings. Get the HKJC involved. Clearly HRV have no idea how to handle alleged (and I use the term loosely) drug cheats.

Mr Glenn Douglas Mr Glenn Douglas pleaded guilty to 10 charges issued by HRV Stewards
The particulars of Charge 2 were that Mr Douglas, when interviewed by HRV Stewards on 21 August 2013 regarding the welfare and late scratching of ‘Talk To The Hand’, falsely advised that the horse had been treated and taken home to be monitored when Mr Douglas was aware the horse had been euthanized.
The particulars of Charge 3 were that Mr Douglas contacted the Stewards on 22 August 2013 and falsely advised a HRV Steward that ‘Talk To The Hand’ had returned alive to his property after being removed from the Bendigo racecourse when in fact the horse had been euthanized.
The particulars of Charge 4 were that Mr Douglas contacted the Stewards on 22 August 2013 and falsely advised that he had checked on the condition of ‘Talk To The Hand’ a number of times during the night of 21 August 2013 and found the horse’s condition to have improved when in fact Mr Douglas was aware the horse had been euthanized
The particulars of Charge 6 were that Mr Douglas falsely advised a HRV Steward by telephone on 22 August 2013 that ‘Talk To The Hand’ had returned alive to his property from the Bendigo harness racing meeting on 21 August 2013.
The particulars of Charge 9 were that Mr Douglas, when interviewed by HRV Stewards on 22 August 2013 regarding the circumstances surrounding the sudden death of ‘Talk To The Hand’, falsely advised that the horse was seen eating and drinking after it had become unwell at the Bendigo racecourse and was alive at his property on the night of 21 August 2013 when Mr Douglas was aware that the horse had been euthanized.

Highly unusual to have all his horses claimed on the one night especially when they have gone around week after week with no interest. The bona fides of the claimants should be a HRV integrity priority considering the timing with the VCAT hearing on Wednesday
