You didn't need the s DT.....

One of the most used phrases in racing "The stable is flying"

The best trainers have the best chemists.

come on guys, i think you'll find in 2006 he was cleared of pre racing his horses with a red powder so he must still be clean as a whistle

unlike the 10+ trotting blokes who got caught using (drenching) the red powder capsaicin

chalk and cheese

Wasn't he caught treating a horse at a cemetery once, on the way to the races?
Unluckily for Darren there was a couple stewards there paying their respects to a fallen steward.
Report VeryLTU March 6, 2014 3:17 AM GMT
that could be right... i know for a fact the stewards had a regimen of tailing his floats for a few months, but only nailed him officially once, because of stewards approaching too close too soon and other f.....ups involving binoculars and god knows what.

Best trainers have the best chemists ...thats funny....If you want serious rorts go the the US races.....Penn officials recently prosecuted etc
Report Joel March 8, 2014 8:39 AM GMT
I suppose the best chemists would come in handy if he ever gets sick, but doesn't really have anything to do with training?

Yep Weirs turn on the merri go round of top trainers.  Kav. Freed. Moody. Get on Weir for a fun ride now.  Don't know how they get away with it.?  Only 10% but with massive turnover thats all they need.  4 years down the track whos next on the training WHEEL OF FORTUNE.?  Anyone know where Danks is working presently.?

Ill let the conspiracy theorists roam unchecked Mischief

I have an Equine pervert's observation on the leading trainer...and the previous leading trainer's horses for consideration, of course based on their

prerace appearance in the yard......generally speaking;

I rarely find them as pick of the yard. A conundrum for me,with their horses being so regularly successful.

Also Reckon Mick Kent, the Snowden's etc would be more into "dressing" their horses than bushies Weir and Moody. Perhaps SOTM may offer an opinion.

Hard to put it succinctly but I think the horses are less "traditionally" prepared. Meaning that they seem to maintain a more even level of "fitness?"

through a campaign than the more traditional method of progressing toward a peak. I also have the Impression that their campaigns are longer.

Whether it's the pre - training, water walker etc or in Weir's case "the beach" .....that's what I see .

Just sayin

Similarly, the few Waller horses I've layed eyes on haven't grabbed me...excluding Hawkspur.

Horses strengths are found in the subtleties of their legs........elasticity etc..... hundreds of hours of study
Report uncleee March 13, 2014 12:27 AM GMT
whats amazing about these 'great trainers' is that all the horses are at the same set of pre trainers places until 2 weeks before their ready to trial.. they all go on the same water walkers, same tracks, same feed
Report THERE....IS....NO....SPOOOOON March 13, 2014 3:58 AM GMT
And I suppose all those trainers give no instructions so they're all on a par. Plain
Report uncleee March 13, 2014 6:03 AM GMT
well the media loves to talk about water walkers and the beach when one gets turned around - like that one of Lloyds D weir got, do you think that they didn't have it in the pool, water walker and take it to the beach? because they do with everyone other horse they have at macedon
Report uncleee March 13, 2014 6:04 AM GMT
there is no way horses get instructions for the pre trainer, they just go through the system like everything else

Akzar came from a bloke called Blacker as his previous trainer FYI

NB. 19 runs over almost 2 years.

I find that very surprising, Uncle.

So they have Lankan Rupee doing identical pre-training routine to Outback Joe. Shocked
