Lloydy where have you been? They've been stuffing it up for years. Don't be so surprised. Next year the drivers in the Hunter Cup will have to run across the track jump in the carts and take off like the old car race starts. They're always forward thinking in at HRV.

Bigted that driver is not in the cartel. May have been different result otherwise, although correct decision made this time. In Victoria there appears to be different rules for certain individuals

have a flick through this lloydy
http://www.hrv.org.au/hrv/index.cfm/general/hrv-strategic-plan-2011/ it outlines how they will attempt to ruin the sport more trotters + subsidise more international trotters + less standing starts, ???????? = profit if you have time check out the credentials of the leaders and consultants hired to make these decisions on linkedin |

Is the Hunter Cup going to be a standing start like the Shepparton Cup or a walk up start like the Hamilton Cup, the Pure Steel & the Ouyen Cup? Does anybody know?
By:
Generally when Chris Alford is moving forward they let them go irrespective of all the other runners

The Whole Card is nearly Full of 1.30 Shots
Huge F.kc up. The $1 & $2 Punters have no hope of jagging a winner and going home with $20 more Worst Marketing Move EVER |

john anderson on RSN radio lies about smoken up missing last years hunter cup due to handicapping (pretty obvious gold ace was cleared to start as order came from the top)and then says no handicapping has brought the best horses -> where is terror to love, for a reason, beautide
robbie & gai waterhouse in todays paper said handicapper needs to stop being paranoid and actually give out big weights to horses that deserve it. The greatest wins in the history of the race 2005 Elsu wins off 20m 2008 Blacks a Fake wins off 30m |

great post uncleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
I get shocked when I go to TAB's these days.....where are all the old codgers that spent all day there? too tough on the pension or they've gone to the paceway in the sky? my point is times have changed.....people have less patience and shorter attention spans and there's wall to wall racing, delays are a pain in the arse, sometimes they need 4 or 5 SKY racing channels I'm all for ditching stand starts and running shorter races, I'd go a step further and have maximum field size of 10 but I think the idea of colours that correspond with barrier numbers is ridiculous too confusing.....for example you couldn't call the Dixon's the black and white army any more yellow with the red Maltese cross were my favourite colours ever |
By:
The old codgers are now using Ipads and Iphones and PC's etc
By:
research has shown thats not the case Joel and I quote.....
Sixty five per cent of men and 73% of women aged 65 years or more have never used the internet to read or send emails. |
By:
only 8% of men and just 3% of women aged 65 years or more use the internet daily.
obviously a few old codgers have cottoned on to all the free porn |
By:
Did the researches ever ask if they have use the internet to place bets??
I can remember the old days when my parents had a cupboard of TAB cards and used to fill them all out on a Saturday morning and take them down to the TAB on a Saturday morning. Then came the phone account for my old man and now they both use their PC to place bets, tablet too. |
By:
well thank **** they found technology......those once a week punters with their 300 tickets are a pain in the arse!!!
I'm going for the dying off theory, it's simple maths......decades after the introduction of phone betting there were plenty of old geezers in TAB's either way it's by the by, it doesn't change my point that things have changed, it's young people we need to take up punting.....they need to be catered for cos I still want a punt when I'm a old codger which is getting closer by the day ![]() |
By:
You are an old codger VK
They need to start punting in schools imo ............. get the habits developed nice and early ![]() |
By:
I have all my own hair and teeth thank you very much.....why wait for school?
get them listening to races in the womb......it works I tell ya as my old girl was working at a TAB when pregnant with me.......and thats a fact |

You can give the Team McCarthy rubbish a rest you sycophants
By:
Team McCarthy & Butt's
By:
There are worse bets you can have than Adam Cartright each way at better than 50/1
By:
Team McCarthy stuffed again, we have a ripping final coming next week. A few with dazzling speed, whichever one draws to use the sprint lane will be horribly hard to beat
By:
Baby Bling seriously started $1.30 in NSW....? Wow that's really bad.
These feature nights are atrocious for backing faves on the tote due to the extremely severe levels of ramping. Have had something like 5 odds on shots get beat in the first couple of hours. |
By:
Really like this next race, expect Scruffy Major or Steam Washed to be winning, astounded Ginger Bliss is fav off the back row.
By:
How poor was that mares race at menangle, steam washed should have been up there winning instead if winning the next at melton
By:
Plenty of $6 available, a nice gift that

***Breaking news*** HRV CEO John Anderson has granted All Black Stride a wildcard entry into the Derby, "Luke's informed me that he thinks he choked down in the heat but he needs another runner to ride shotgun, it was a common sense decision".
By:
$1.50 My High Expectations please... Yes it's a big chance but those are deeply terrible odds.
By:
Blitzthemcalder is a must back here at this price
By:
First and second outstanding there
By:
Yep. My High did his usual few skips early but got down quickly tonight to begin remarkably well by his standards and make it game over early. One of his more usual slow starts would have made for a very interesting race.
Blitzthem still has that amazing ability but the slow starts are his only remaining weakness at this level. |
By:
Anyone still trying to say Christen Me has been disappointing?
Has been absolutely flying and deserved a big one, has to be regarded the best around as we speak |

Good on ya Dex
super talent both horse & driver |
