Strange old day at MV. Definitely a whiff of Spring in the air, decent turnout.

Won by default (peaknuckles), can't say I'm proud of the methodology.

Nothing I backed that raced off the pace had much luck. Only winner on looks was Elite Elle.

Backed the last winner in Sydney just coz I'm a fan. Got away with it but I must avoid those, methinks.

Don't like to bet till I see them but I was impressed with Clear for Action in the yard last time I saw

him at The Valley and was reasonably confident of being on it.

Rarely do anything on the Tote but took a R/ Double with E Elle and a three roughies into it for $10.

To my surprise I wasn't much impressed with C For Action in the yard , thought he looked better last time.....

and backed the third horse.

That's winning by default in my book Anyhoo, I'll take it and look forward to another day at the races.

very, very average day spoon didn't have anywhere near enough on them to cover all the other losses, rusambo and double jester would have been huge results and were the difference between a very ordinary day and a winning day
