A word of advice for everyone attending the time honoured Boort Cup - don't forget to wear your flak jackets/bulletproof vests. This weekend is the opening of duck season - last time I was there it reminded me of Chinese New Year with Lake Boort packed with shooters firing at anything that moved - ducks, bookmakers, punters etc.
