Racing Victoria has announced changes to its Race Fields policy.

"That turnover for betting exchanges will be assessed on the aggregate of net customer winnings rather than the aggregate of all bets taken on the "backers side" of the exchange as it is a more appropriate measure of the volume of customer transactions."

Interesting to see how Racing NSW reacts.

Yes will be very interesting re Racing NSW.
Good to see that somebody at RV has an understanding of the exchange model and its viabilty. Not to mention its benefit to the punter/industry. Good decision, i have a lot more confidence in Robert Roulston's understanding of wagering as opposed to V'Landys.

It wouldn't be hard seeing V'landy's knows 9/10th's of fark all, yet thinks he knows everything. Knew enough though to over rule all the experts and grant them permission to reopen Randwick when every other track in Australia was shut during EI not once but twice in consecutive just to really ensure that they got it. Yet somehow he was never held accountable for that stroke of genius.

Maybe it got something to do with the fact that most of the NSW racing media are so far up his rear end they couldn't see daylight for a month.

Did any of you actually bother to read the RVL garbage!

It's manifestly clear that RVL is after more money to pour into the trough to look after its cronies' group.

The absurdity of charging for free bets should be a big tell.

RVL is not getting enough from Betfair so it wants to try for more.

Betfair is odds on to concoct some new charge if it believes its results will drop.

We will be slugged.

And thus bet less.

And both Betfair and RVL will suffer.

All I said was that it wouldn't be hard to be smarter than V'Landys who's as thick as two short planks. I never said the other guy was a Rhodes scholar.

Lets,

not sure I get your gist.

RVL with Saundry and Hines and Perna and Napthine have proved themselves to be a sick cynical joke, with the Oliver cover-up.

But the jury is currently out in that joint alleged to sheer sheep as big as whales.

So far Murrihy seems to be talking the talk as to where Hayson's alleged non-bets went on.

If he gets to the true bottom of the Gai Singo conundrum then he will demonstrate his independence from V'Landys - which happens to be what we pay him for.

Currently both outfits are jokes.

Driving big punters towards those illegal Asian outfits.

The point is, is there any chance we can get some one remotely competent to run our multi-million dollar industry, some of the things that go on at Racing Victoria defy belief as and Racing NSW with Vlandy's in charge is a joke.

I certainly wouldn't be betting on anyone here prepared to run the industry properly.

NSW had a great opportunity to capitalise on the Tote Tasmania fiasco in Victoria.

But it decided to make itself a joke by setting up the Isle of Man facility for Zeljko!

You have presumably honest punters being faced with the prospect of being bled dry here, or risking the illegal Asian facilities.

Or switching to Poker.

Surely the big money goes through the commission agents who don't much care what country it ends up in.

Can't see Vlandy's or Saundry coming out on top.

I can almost state that with certainty.

Consider Zoe Davis, one of Zeljko's reported shrinking inner circle of 19.

The Isle of Man regularly pumps in up to 15% of NSW Exotics!

Somehow I don't believe that's coming in from problem gambler insomniacs.
