Wes.  Who were you looking for? You knew you had the long odds on favourite on your back.  Looking for the 100-1 danger maybe.

That's probably the most obvious rort in the history of harness racing...

Is anyone listening out there?

Harness Racing is dead!

He has a ready made excuse, as I looked over my shoulder my horse drifted out...poor guy is just a victim of circumstances Laugh

The head turning reminds me of this classic turf encounter.

G. Ryan was about to go back to rail, just making sure nothing was there is all LaughLaugh

The report from the professional stewards was as follows:

Race 2: Class 3 Handicap 1000m
Time In A Bottle which was fractious in the barriers stood flatfooted when the gates were released and lost ground (4L).

Well they don't mention when a rider takes great care not to cause interference, as in G.Ryans case

His look over his inside shoulder was similar to R.S.Dyes when he gave the run to Myocard in the AJC Derby quite a few years ago. Luckily for Ryan Tree Fern wasn't a stablemate of his mount as was the case in the Derby

I had an email exchange with chief steward RM over a jockey (recently desqualified for 12 mths) that looked behind him then drifted off the track to let winner through.

Apparently it was all the horses fault & stewards ordered the horse to trial. RM had every excuse in the book except he couldnt quite explain why a jockey leading on the rail (NSW way) would need to behind him over his right shoulder.

You must be mistaken kye, as this was the jocks 1 and only indiscretion Laugh

They need to take advice from the West.

The 'religious' jock was at his best/worst when at the REAR of the field.
That way he never turned the head just called out,"I'm here move", never failed, well only failed when the reply came "not for a lousy 300".

i would give him the benefit of the doubt for it being a rort

he looks around and not watching where he is steering - that is poor obviously

winner was 1.20 from a derby to a penny c0

can see why others think different

Solvalla says he hates the trots but he never misses a sus race - imo
Report spyvspy27 • March 15, 2013 12:22 PM GMT
You would give him the benefit of doubt because you see things the way you would like them to be and not the way they are Mr Speculator, but that isn't a bad thing, if there were more people like you in the world, there would be less corruption and thats a good thing, so don't change

Craig not really sure where I said it was a rort Confused

i have read that young people who wear glasses have lived a life where they twisted what they saw cause they couldn't handle what they saw (left field i know)

i am 49 without glasses so maybe i see reality

having said that it was a weird race - why would the 1.20 shot go there in the first place (behind the leader that is)

then despite being gifted the race it struggles in against a horse that couldn't get warm in a weak Blayney race sunday

i'll admit it is too confusing for me

Talking about a driver looking around...... Have alook at Menangle a few weeks ago D White a promising riverina junior driver, he looked around 21 times in a Mile race in which he lead up.... A bit of a record. Then drove Hollywood Sign to win at Wagga last week, i stopped counting at 20
