good luck to him!

also a cracking clash in the Northern Derby.....Ohoka Punter vs the unbeaten mega star filly Adore Me

I still want to call him the greatest sit sprinter of all time but can't do it without your blessing VK because you did mention horses that were well before my time.
Looking at Friday's field, I think he will be in all sorts of trouble finding a way to beat Terror To Love.

go ahead Sinbad, you have my blessing, lol......I can no longer argue the case......if that didn't silence the critics then nothing will!!

I was actually in his corner on Sunday and was thrilled to see him win and I'm sure you got plenty so everyone's happy except the bookies Happy

Here here, great for the sport no doubt when he lets go with that huge sprint.

Not often we get to see the best two horses around clash again in such a short time, bring on Auckland!

That Adore Me looks ridiculously good, does she just smash the boys VK?

I think it could almost be said that his feats are even greater considering his limitations in racing style !  After all, most winners go forward and dictate terms to score.  They are the one to have your rent on because they make their own luck, and on the punt less can go wrong.  It can also be pretty dull stuff - tense, but dull.  However ... surely its the horses that stand up the rest a start, and then produce the electrifying finish that stick in the memory !!

Quinny seems clearly better now than ever before.  I think much of the debate has sprouted from people identifying what they thought were his weaknesses [ me included ] rather than calling him a crap horse - which he never was.  He has had a poor campaign over here once before - when they thought he was bleeding and treated him - only to finish up way dehydrated.

Forum posts - like emails - can easily be taken in the wrong tone.  Glad to see most playing nice for a change  :-)

AD ridiculous is the right word to use regarding Adore Me....you can break out all the superlatives
say she's the best ever or what ever....(she may be the Black Caviar of trotting)
just use your own eyes and she is just ridiculous
ridiculous the way she won that mile race in 1:52 and change doing it at both ends and nearly breaking the NZ all comers record
ridiculous the way she worked to the death in a 2700m Oaks and accelerated away from them late like they were nailed to the track
she is not from this world and of course she can beat the boys including Vic Derby winner Ohoka Punter and some very talented colts
I've really enjoyed the ride with her so far as I adored her mother Scuse Me who beat the boys in the Taylor Mile in 1:53:5 a time NZ mares just didn't go in 1998
I don't think it's ridiculous to say she could have won the Ladyship Mile on Sunday!

Agreed, I have not seen her all the way through, but have taken note of late.

For those who don't know her, get a copy of the replay of her Oaks win last week, the acceleration has to be seen to be believed.

I see she has outside of the back row in the Derby, obviously a massive test for a filly (with classic winning colts drawn well), but who could possibly tip against her

Thanks VK, got plenty on at the $6.50 thanks to ES media saying he was gone when being beaten over here but truth was the times he were running were just as good as ever. As trotman said, his racing style leaves him vulnerable but is so exciting. In this day and age when the top horses are so close in ability and barrier decide races, he is the exception (I've always said I prefer when he draws 12 to take away the lure of going forward)and I hope I'm wrong, but I doubt we'll see another one like him in my time.

I have been a QUINN knocker in the past, but what he has done the last 12-18 months he deserves every accolade he gets.

That was sensational on Sunday, and tonight was sheer class.

He is an awesome horse. A Champion.  Out and out champion.

Not bad for a goat track specialist that was taken out of his comfort zone and still brained them.

Wow,
Just watched NZ replay.
6 days flys to NZ races opposite way than used to.
Bit of team Driving as well.
Think he was checked as well, raced very different to normal style and Blew them away.
I now Declare him a Champion.
Was like about 80% of the Public a Knocker. I have always said he is the most Exciting horse i have seen but not a Champion.
Must be because im still stewing on his loss in Melb 2 years ago when i had Quad going for a Stack.
I take that back He is a Champion.

Terror to Love had every chance to get off and was driven to cute. No Excuse Bad drive and yes i did mine.

Very gracious of you Lloydy. I am the first to admit that early days I had reservations about his ability in a dog fight but what he has achieved in the last 2  years has lifted him to champion status. Unbeaten in inters heats and finals over three years is remarkable.
